Hello,

I´m currently running 3 wow accounts with the following system:
AMD 6000+ (3.0ghz)
9600GT
2GB ram - already ordered another 1GB
Windows XP 32bits

I have a few fps issues on leader (mainly in major cities) but the image quality is quite bad (no AA, environment detal and distances are around 20% ground cluster 10%). Whenever i raise these configurations (only on leader, slaves are set to lowest settings) my fps lowers to 20-30.

I want to upgrade my computer, but i can go either with a CPU or a GPU upgrade (phenon 720 triple-core or Radeon hd 5750 1gb). I cannot have both, because my wife won´t let me spend any more money with games (lolz that´s true).

What do you think will deliver the most performance gain?

thank you.

I would say get more RAM, but then I noticed you are only 3 boxing, so you might be ok with 3 GB. In fact you may notice a huge improvement with that extra 1 GB you ordered if your system was page filing what wouldnt fit into your RAM.

That said WOW has always been CPU limited in multiboxing, so go with a new CPU.

The solution is simple. Dump the wife and get both and more RAM :)

Heheh that´s a great solution, unfortunable she´s not returnable anymore (he mother has been able to save some money - clothes, jewels and travelling expenses have been transfered to my budget hehehe).

Oh, i´ve noticed my motherboard can handle an ATHLON II x4 2.6ghz.. so should i got with the cpu or the gpu upgrade?

thank you.

Got the athlon II x4 620 (2.6 ghz quad core) plus 2 GB RAM. Now i´m able to run 4 accounts with more fps and higher settings (not maximum yet). the 6000+ was definately bottlenecking my gpu.

Thank you!

Yes the cpu upgrade makes the biggest impact after ram. Also cutting some of your wifes expenses might improve fps as well :)
