Hi all,
so I have been farming all weekend and now have 190 badges on my two warlocks and resto druid (druid is already pretty well specced) and so I am wondering should I go with the set of T9 gear or for the two offset peices and the rest as the set?
Has anyone got experience of what impact the set bonus makes for warlocks?
Thanks for any advice

Set gear. For locks that would be everything but the robe, make merlins robe if you want(set robe is pretty bad).
4 piece isn't amazing, but still adds more dps than another non set piee.

So the 4 piece set would make up for the lost stats of the offset head and shoulders from triumph badges?

So I am about one dungeon run away from being able to get the head and shoulder offset and then get the legs and hands for the T9 set. So does everyone think this would be a waste of emblems or would I see a difference in getting the offset pieces, i.e. 120 emblems for head and shoulders vs 80 for the set pieces?
Need advice :P

Set pieces for 4, and then something crafted for the fifth. As Niley stated, the warlock tier 9 robe is pretty bad, so get a robe made.

Also for the druid, you DEFINITELY want that four piece. Heck you probably don't want to replace that four piece until you're ready to put on four pieces of tier 10, and even then it's still being debated as to whether or not in it's current state, tier 10 4 piece is better than the tier 9 4 piece (which is balls amazing) for druids.

Short bit: Get 4 piece tier 9. For the fifth piece, buy a piece of tier 10 with your frost badges or make something. The bonus to dps (and healing on the druid) will offset the slight increase in stats you would have gotten from the off-pieces

So I tried on the warlock 4 pieces, all excluding the chestpiece which I went with the Merlin's Robe piece, the big issue I ran into is I lost a ton of Hit, I was coming from the Ebonweave hands and robe and so the upgrades lost all that hit.
What options do I have to get back the hit:? Go with the trinkey and maybe a ring? Seems like I moved sideways in spellpower by the time I have upgraded?
Any advice on fast way to regain the hit?

Wow Im actually swimming in hit. So much that I only need the druid/spriest debuff to hit raid bosses 100%. If it really bothers you, pick up 3% from talents in the affliction talents.

Well it looks like your offhand is something that I will need plus adding the 128 hit trinket and that will get me back up in hit. I am already talented to get the 3% hit from affliction tree.

So I upgraded Darkpowerz and then ran a quick run through the first three bosses in Nexus and I think i really need some help on stats. I gemmed some of the gems non=epic due to funding and went with the next level down in most cases. Now my crit, spell and hit are all ahead of my other lock Dailyauction (he was my bank toon lol) and they are showing neck and neck in recount on the test fights???
Can someone give a quick look at Darkpowerz and see if I have missed something obvious, for the test I had him equipped with the 126 hit trinket which brought him to about 250 hit vs Auctiontoons 196. Should I not be so focused on hit? Just go for raw spell power? Darkpowerz is also way ahead on crit and so I am really confused.
Help!!!!

Against heroic bosses You only need 158 hit rating, if you have Supression that is reduced to 79, if you also have a draenei in your party that is further reduced to 53.

So for kicks this morning I geared my other lock (Dailyauction) in the t9 4 pieces identical to Darkpowerz and even though his hit is now way less, he was keeping up with Darkpowerz in dps.
So now I am wondering, is recount working correctly OR more likely, is there something weird with the rotation of the two toons, the only difference with the two toons is that Darkpowerz does Curse of the Elements and Dailyauction does Curse of Agony.
One last point is that I did DTK this morning and even though recount was giving me actually lower numbers than before in the fights, I really nuked it, all 4 bosses went down much easier than before with each one showing a drop of 15 - 20 seconds in the fight times (best indicators were first boss and last boss due to being totally tank and spank nuke fest with no movement, just spam)

All very strange!!

I try not to rely on recount or dps meters they seem to be very unreliable. What I do use them for is to verify that everyone is doing consistent damage and that no one toon is falling too far behind the rest.

Like your last experience in DTK I rely more on how it feels. Do the instances run smoother, less wipes, faster pulls, less stress. Are the bosses going down faster..... A much better performance matrix for me.....

Dont use a dps meter for heroics. Things die way too fast for some classes to ramp up to their steady dps or some classes have high burst only to fall behind once the fight progresses. My mage only has okish dps on trash because he is still ramping up his Arcane Blast when the last mob dies. Bosses he shines though.

But I would think if both Locks are exactly the same spec except one being human and the other gnome then the damage meter would give the same result?

any damage meter that is not a static fight (no movement) and not over 2 mins is not going to be accurate. I can have one shaman more than 1k dps above the others in a 30secs fight. It's just the random nature of things.

I suppose it makes sense with crits being something that is random :)
