What do you think they are?
RFC: Mage
SFK: Mage
SM: Mage
ZF: Mage
Stratholme: Prot pally/Ret Pally
Ramparts: Ret pally
Just curious what everyone else thinks.

I have had a lot of success boosting my alts from 20-45 doing single-pull SM Cath runs with my 80 DK. Wandering Plague and Glyph of Pestilence ftw!

ZF: Druid (Immune to Hex).. but still dismounted.
Prot Pally does good everywhere.
Have really only boosted with the pally a lot.
Did a few others, when it was a 5x class group (raf) and I had a max (70) level of the same class.
Hunter, Shaman and Priest are ok, but not nearly as good as I can do with the pally now.
Level 80 mage in green stamina gear can pretty much boost through anything with little trouble in decently skilled hands. Well, at least up to the RAF cap.
Paladins were repeatedly nerfed in a number of their boosting-related shinies. They still do fine. Mana can be a PITA when nothing can do much to hurt you, so pack extra booze.
in the past month i have Raf'd 3 60's and it was insane. We did one group all the way up with Frost mage. Then I moved to the Pally when I started doing it by myself. it sucks on a pally just due to repair bills. But mage struggles with Strat due to stuns and CC mobs.

Anything can boost the low stuff.
As you get higher, you need more of a tank type.
The advantage of a true tank, is that you can boost beyond the RAF cap.
A half geared 80th, can boost in instances to 68th very easily, where the toons can start Northrend questing.
As far as boosting goes, Feral Druids and Prot Paladins have my vote for "best".
But that is subjective, and an opinion.
If you go with the Pally, you'll want several shields.
There's a crafted level 60 or 61 shield, which is relatively cheap.
4 or 5 of these will last just about any boosting session.

When that happens i don''t use sacred shield, just take a few hits till mana is full again (blessing of sanctuary, divine plea) and then activate sacred shield again to continue my pull.

i found that a blood DK or a bear out dose a prot pally for most boosting. with the changes to pallys and the buffs to bears and adding the "new" class DKs that if i'm going to go boots some where i take my DK or druid both seem to have way better dps on aoeing mobs down. found that my blood DK can take more damage and aoe mobs down faster than a prot pally. and bears with there no limit swipe do a pertty good job on healing this self's do to the healing proc. they get from talent.
just my 2 cents.

I find that freezing them then blowing them into little bits helps.
Stun monkeys are a PITA. Even extremely low level mobs with stun procs can be really bloody annoying.

Same with blackrock depths, the frigging little mofo's who throw that web over you ... a paladin can use Hand of Freedom, but thats often not enough to do the pulls that i want to do due to it's 25s cooldown. Don't want to think how frustrating it would be with a class who can't break that spell.

My fastest time from 1-60 boosting was just over 7 hours /played and that was with a DK.
1-10 Questing
10-20 SFK
20-35 SM (Can do all three instances in less than 10 minutes)
35-45 ZF
45-55 LBRS
55-60 Ramparts
Edit: The disease damage plus Death Strike is amazing.

I prefer a Bear tank, swipe is 360 and you can use it on the move. Repair cost are typically lower.
