So here is my basic Elemental Shaman
(all my Shamen are the same)
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Korgath&n=Fir%C3%AB

Right now im using Furs Click macro and have been reading here saying that you need to really mod it once you get your Full T9.

So thats why I'm here. How would I go about doing this to make it better? My dps is about 3000-3500 DPS right now in heroics and while Im happy with this i obviously want to make this better.

Thanks in advance for the Support everyone!

Really all you can do is go to the test dummies and try to make your castsequences a little tighter. With elemental shamans there's not alot you need to do as you cant really change the spell's cooldowns. Since lightning bolt is the fall thru spell, all you can try to do is make it so that you cast Flame shock when it drops off, Lava burst when the CD is up, and chain lightning when it's off CD.
That's really all there is too it. That is the tried and true way anyways.

Ok so making sure im doing this right lets take Lavaburst for example.... My current Lava macro is
/castsequence reset=combat lava burst,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I have that in Bar 1 and just plain ol Lava in slot 2 im spaming the CRAP out of my button 1 key (just like how i usually play) The lavaburst macro ? is coming up 1 sec before regular lavaburst the wait time rolls on and then its cast. not seeing a down time. Am i doing this wrong or am I sailing the fail boat.

why is one shaman sitting at full mana? doing pbad dps? Your macro must be broken.

Also you dont have CoE so your top shaman is doing fine, with coe he would be doing at least 1k more(yes coe is that amazing, i switched shaman for the lock for that one reason, even thought my 4th shaman was pretty geared at the time)

More comas = more time(presses), so depending how hard you spam the button(for example I press my main dps macro twice second) thats how fast its going to come up, main thing here is not to panic, always keep calm, never start spamming your dps macro like crazy because you get excited :P It took time for me to stay calm, when for example my tank was dropping to 2-3k hp, or my whole team was taking crazy aoe damage.

Ill post my macros for you when i get back to my gaming pc. They all have 4p t9, so its adjusted to that, but its also adjusted to individual haste levels, I took my time and fine tuned every dps toon.

ok here goes, this are macros from my least geared shaman, she has 633 haste, 833 when totem procs, Ive set it up for when totem actually procs since its up most of the time.
shaman = http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Stormreaver&n=Ishv

Main dps macro(i use last 4 buttons of bar 1): <--- this is what you spam

/assist focus
/cast elemental mastery
/use 13
/use 14
/click ActionButton9
/click ActionButton10
/click ActionButton11
/click ActionButton12button 9:

/castsequence reset=combat flame shock,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,button10:

/castsequence reset=combat lava burst,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Butt on11:

/castsequence reset=combat chain lightning,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,button12:

/cast lightning bolt
omg im giving my secrets away :O

Your DPS will be off when you hit chain lightning you are too close to the other dummies. I like to use the Heroic Dummy in IF that is isolated from the rest.

you can stay right on top any dummy and you will not hit any other ones. On my server there is at least 3-4 ppl always practicing on IF dummy, so it has debuffs from them, that why I like using Darn or Exodar one.

ps. I would like to stress this again unless you RAID on your 5 toons, DON'T use heroic dummy, its lvl 83 just like 10/25 man bosses, not 5 man heroic ones.

Definitely if you are not level 83 hit capped than do not use the Heroic dummy. I have been pretty lucky I do not run into many folks using the same dummy i am. I do have a heck of a time with my chain lightening jumping I will have to try and get closer.

DPS seems fine you're not hit capped for a raid boss and you don't have a CoE debuff. You're not always going to have that DPS unless you can sit on 1 target the whole time in a heroic. Switching targets / moving from things bosses do is going to lower it.

One shaman is resto thus why his dps is so low.

Next question would be why is my dps so much lower in heroics? its a good 1000-1500 lower dps I would say I dont get excited I dont think so I dont click faster.Any specific reason for that? Ill take a screen shot next time I do one. I suppose it has something to with how fast it dies maybe? Because most bosses only last 35-40 seconds. So that obviously has to have some effect the longest a boss typically will last is 1min-130 MAX but my spaming on a target dummy is considerably longer I would say.

Also remember that in the heroics you have, adds, web wraps, ice tombs, or whatever.. if you switch targets for any reason or have a macro that automatically targets the wraps/tombs then you are switching away from your main target which will have a small effect on your dps.

Ya but on a boss like lets say the Troll in Draktharon Keep that you dont move @ all and just spam the attack key?

Hrmm.... Replacing a Shaman with a Warlock.... Most interesting I bet that does make a Huge difference..... increases my tanks hps increases my shamans dps not to mention gives a nice bit of bonus to a group (soul stones) ect... Very interesting! What are some other benefits of this... I already have a level 70 warlock waiting in the wings if I went this route...... Dont Love the idea of this guy not having ANY items what so ever but thats just a week of badge farming.

The warlock will not pull his/her own weight initially.
But with the CotE, the others will each improve by a large margin (3 DPS improving by 13% each = 39%).
And you'll probably be close to what you were before (lock only has to do ~60% of any one shammy).

And then down the road, as your lock gears up.
He should get fairly comparable to your shammies.
And then you are golden.

Wouldnt it be safe to say that by the time the lock got to 80 (from 70) and then got his full T9 or what ever that the shaman that your taking out would be doing more damage if you just invested that time to that character? (sorry not sure if that even makes sense im in so much pain right now its not even funny... Kidney Stones)

PSA Drink lots of Water!!!! apparently that reduces your chances to get these aweful things!

I thought about running a lock myself. My main group is Druid Tank, Elem Sham x 3 and a Druid Healer. I love the Druid healer...... HOTs are amazingly simply. I guess I could replace one Shaman but having three totem stackers is nice..........

I find a shaman healer even easier than a druid healer but thats just me i guess... Plus i really hate that damn tree lol. Riptide plus Earth shield usually leaves my Shaman twiddling his tumbs for the majority of an instance. Man maybe i can find myself a warlock and i can run some tests to see what kind of dmg boost I would be getting.

Destro lock also gives replenishment, which can help reduce downtime. I also traded a shaman for a mage, and it's great. Lock can use caster sword and cloth gear thats loaded with spirit, so there's less wasted drops too. 4x shaman is easier, but mixed classes is better if you really want to tweak and min/max.

I hate the tree myself just too cartoony. I have thought about running a Resto shaman but that would mean a change in gear I am not ready for that right now but that is an interesting thought. Can dual spec one over to resto for instance healing and back to elemental for PvP.

This is exactly what I did.
