Mixed Team clears Ramparts !!!

Hello everyone,

It was far from pretty, and not the fastest event in the world, but my mixed team FINALLY cleared their first instance: Hellfire Ramparts !!!

As I said, they wiped probably a dozen times, on trash and bosses. And it also took about 4 1/2 hours to finally finish :p, but THEY DID IT !!!

This is the very first instance clear I have managed to pull off while multiboxing. And the team actually did it "at level". At least, I'm presuming so. All members were lvl 61 at the beginning, and dinged 62 before it was all said and done. I realise I could have gotten a few more levels under my belt and come back to it, but I guess I needed to prove to myself that I could actually accomplish this.

I was surprised that the overwhelming feeling after completing the instance wasn't excitement or elation, but rather "WHEW, man am I glad THAT is over with". lol

Anyway, after tweaking a few macros, and reviewing where improvements needed to be made, I'm considering running the instance again, both for some better drops, and to see if I can improve my results.

Gratz.

I never was able to pull off the 3rd boss on my mixed team. Came back and did it at lvl 64 or so just to have done it. Very cool man.

I have a small confession... I used the "cheese trick" on the final boss. Stood on the ramp and nuked him down while he flew by until he was down to approximately 5 % health, then killed the two guards that trigger him to land.

The first time I got to him, I aggroed the guards, he landed at full health and THAT fight lasted about 45 seconds, and not in the good way...lol

Nice, So far I have dual-boxed only quests with two druids. Now I consider buying another two accounts so I have full party.

I'm soon in the position where you are now and it exites me to think that I could enter instances on viable level and clear them!

Grats. I started my group since the New Dungeon finder and thats all I do is instances. Its so easy to just sit in ogrimar by a repair/vendor and just do instance after instance. My group is just about to hit 40 and Im having the most fun I have had in WOW.

Yes the feeling of completing the first instance is a blast. I would strongly suggest you run the instance again, since you will find you have improved quite a bit in skill.

I cleared utgard keep for the first time last weekend. It was a blast. I also spend hours on the first run wiping all over the place, but I had a great time.

I headed back and did the second run much much faster. In total I have done the instance only 4 times, but I could see a bit of improvement everytime.

Grats on downing Ramps! Seldum is very right. You will now know where to place your guys with each pull, which mobs to down first, how to manage the bosses, etc. Things will go much smoother on the second run, and pretty soon you'll have it on farm mode.
