My Son and I play wow, lately he has been asking about maybe working on duelboxing sme accounts.

I know I have alot of redding to be done to understand it yet but I have just a question to see if it is even possible.

I like to play warriors and healers, I would like to be able to just run around on my warrior with the priest on auto follow and using keys bound to the healer screen cast heals on my tank without having to tab to the other screen. Can I also do this in a 5 bound the keys to heal other players ?

if the above is possible this might be something im intrested in as well and ill defentily have to dig deep into the research.

thank you all for your time.

You can make a macro to have on your alt (healer) and have it heal your main (warrior). Something like:
/cast [target=focus-target-target] HealSpell
That should heal whoever the main's mob is beating on (whoever has aggro).
Then just put that on a key that your main isn't using. Then use a key broadcaster (like HotKeyNet), to send whatever keys you push on your main to your alt.
Your main presses key "choose one" and your alt presses same key and does macro "Heal". Bam, healing in the background and no need to switch to the other screen.
Same works even if more than one person in your party, the macro just heals whoever has aggro. Doesn't even matter if the person isn't in your party (BG/PVP).

Hope that helps and good luck.

One word of caution - you should NOT use two accounts that aren't in your name. You said your son, so I'm assuming it's his account you're planning on using. If your name is on his account, then you should be okay (although I won't guarantee it), but if his name is on it, you'll be flagged and banned - you have to use two accounts under your name.

Just an FYI, so you don't get banned!

Assuming he's a minor, and you own both accounts (your name), you are fine to use both.

But, if you're both getting into dual boxing, as in 4+ accounts, I'd consider running 5 total accounts across two PC's.
That gets you: Tank + Healer; and him: DPS x3.
You'd basically be able to do all PvE content; depending on your tank/heal choice, you could pvp a lot too.

As far as heals go...

#show Name of Heal Spell
/assist Tank'sName
/cast [help] Heal; [help, Target=TargetTarget] Heal; [help, Target=TargetTargetTarget] Heal

That will work quite well.
The 3rd (last) condition will only be necessary in pvp.
If you stick to mobs (pve), the first two will be all you need.
You can target with the tank, and heal a friendly.
Or if the tank targets a hostile, then the heal goes to the hostiles target, which is usually the tank.

You could make 2-3 keys (or 5), to cover most healing situations.

Druid - Lifebloom, Regrowth, Rejuvenation, Wild Growth
Paladin - Cleanse, Flash of Light, Holy Light
Priest - Renew, Shield, Flash, Greater/Penance
Shaman - Earth Shield, Chain Heal, Healing Wave, Lesser Healing Wave, Riptide

That's basically what I use, although I'm using IS Boxer and repeater regions, rather the assist macros, although I have some for out of party heals too.

It's incredible how hard your doing for this guy?

Download Keyclone (20$ if your new and has to buy it totaly worth it ofcourse)

Set it up, search ''How to setup keyclone'' on youtube for this.

Once done, open wow and login into your 2 accounts and so.

On the second one, your priest, you have to unbind all keys, A-Z etc, like q,w,e,r,t,y,u and such so the other account can't move when you press ''W'' to move forward, that one can't.

Now you make a macro, lets say /follow (Your warrior name) And put it somewhere in the action bar, and bind a key to that one, I has ''F'' as my /follow Bdin (My warrior)

Now, make a new macro and have it to use /Target (Your warrior), since your going to heal with the priest right? if you was going to dps you would have to do /assist (your warrior)

Now, You just press the key you binded /Target (your warrior) to, and then use the spell you want to do.

Like i do, I press F, my hunters follow, i press ''R'' as my assist, they target my target, i press 2, they all use arcane shot

I hope this helped, those guys are just crazy with thier /cast [Help??] name kiajbskljea?..

Emil, the suggestions they are giving are no more difficult than the ones you suggest, and they aren't going to cost the guy $20 for something he has no idea if he's actually going to be into.

There's no need for seperate assist and target keys, which require extra keypresses to accomplish the same thing....assuming no issues with lag. The macros they give are all good macros, and the same type of macros people would use as single boxers. There's nothing "crazy" about them.

And why are you unbinding a bazillion keys when all you have to do is blacklist/whitelist through Keyclone?

I agree to a certain extend with emil. Not everyone is technical savvy enough to figure out rather complicated macro's. Might chase them away from boxing when they think 'wtf is that, boxing is too hard for me'. However the suggested macro's are very useful, people might not use it because they have no clue what's going on.

As a techy myself it took me some time to figure out what all macro's were doing, so i just started out with the very basic stuff like emil mentioned. Which wasn't a real problem as i only did pve content. Soon after, i started to use/tweak the more enhanced macro's.

So if you ask me: start with the basic/simple stuff if you have no clue about macro' and as you progress, your macro's will progress with your needs.

My second setup (first was alt-tabbing) included downloading keyclone as you need a key replicating software to all screens, although there are free alternatives, search the forums.

So 1 screen was master, 2nd was slave, i blacklisted all movement keys in keyclone so they wouldn't pass to 2nd screen.

Macros I used were:
Toon 1
Key bind 1
/cast firebolt

Toon 2
Key bind 1
/assist toon1
/cast firebolt

or

/target toon1
/cast heal

That was pretty much it. i did have a /follow toon1 macro for keybind ` (left of 1)

Then I discovered 5 boxing, innerspace and my brain melted...
