Hunter Issues (targeting/iwt)

I do have two minor issues with my hunters and maybe someone knows a fix for it.

1) My hunters attack via party1target. Whenever I switch target and the first one I attacked is still alive, their autoshot still hits the first target, attacks like arcane shot etc do hit the correct target (the one I switched to).

I tried to put a /cleartarget at the start of my macro resulting that only autoshot went off :confused:

2) Using interact with target to tackle fears doesn't work at all (works fine with my shaman group), i.e my hunters won't walk towards the target they're supposed to interact with.

I presume this might have to do with them still auto-shooting but I am not really sure.

Hmm can you post your macros so that we can take a look? My first group were hunters and I had a few teething problems but got them sorted out in the end.

Essentially all my macros looked like this
#showtooltip
/assist [@focus]
/cast ability1


I have noticed that if I change targets quickly my slaves dont keep up even with those macros, I put this down to Aussie lag though as my slaves still think my focus (The guy who I am actually controlling) is targeting the previous guy. This is why I have the assist part in all my macros, even if the first ability after I switch targets still goes to the old target anything after that should be fine.
If you abilitys are macroed like so
/cast [@focustarget] ability1

Then this would account for your autoshot staying on the old target as you guys are not actually changing targets and autoshot only works on current target I believe.

As for interact with target yes hunters will not run towards the guys, they just turn and shoot. If you hit your follow macro they should group up again and depending on how they need to run they may all autoshoot along the way.

I finally found out what was bugging my iwt - I had auto shot ticked in the interface config /facepalm
