View Full Version : What totems does YOUR team use? (4 Ele shaman setup 5v5 arena)
Hello, just diged 80 yesterday with my 4x shaman team. Went into arena with 13k hp and 0 res, know i woudnt winn, pritty much got down-aoed 9/10 games. Anyway, i started to wonder what totemsetup you other 4x shaman boxers use in arena?
Atm, i have one shaman specced for Totem of Wrath, since it doesnt stack.
Explain it like this:
4x Tremor
3x Grouding
1x haste
ect.
Thanks, best regards

4 magma 1 Wrath
3 healing 1 mana 1 cleansing

1x Totem of Wrath
2x Searing Totem (or 3x Magma)
1x Frost Resistance Totem
1x Mana Spring Totem
2x Cleansing Totem
1x Fire Resistance Totem
1x Earthbind Totem
3x Tremor Totem
4x Grounding Totem
...
My call of fire drops everything but the last 2 tremor totems. This is so I don't overwrite the staggered totems when I re-drop everything which I have a habit of doing.
The resistance totems are only marginally effective in arenas due to high spell penetration on warlocks, mages, and shaman. It may give me anywhere from 0-50 resistance in those cases. In most other PVP, especially where you see people in PVE gear, they're much more significant.

Im using the blue and purple new totem spell (dont remeber the name) to drop out all totems at same time.
One of them is like the "standard" setup, and one is "oh noes im in tronble set up".
My team is 4 ele shamans + healer
Standard is:
tremor, tremor, earthbind, stoneskin
healing, healing, healing, cleansing
searing, searing,searing, wrath
grounding x 4
---------
Oh shit totems (usually when i pop this i do one aoe chain heal and fire nova and start pew pewing again), and I use this if i got some meleers hammering my group.
stoneclaw x 4
grounding x 4
magma x 4
tremor, tremor, earth bind, stoneskin
--------------
I have also setup thunderstorm like this
Player1 - thunderstom, then player 2 cast earthbind totem
Player2 - thunderstorm, then player 3 cast earthbind totem
Player3 - thunderstom, then player 4 cast eartthbind totem
Player4 - thunderstom, then player 1 cast eartthbind totem
This way, someone almost always gets rooted in after they has been knocked away. neat:)

Yes i drop them staggered. These are my PvP totems.
I aslo noticed that if i drop 3x tremor at the same time they will all refresh at the same time, isnt it bettter to drop them with 1 sec delay of each other to make you fear immune? Or is my theory 100%?

I dont know how to drop them staggered, so i just drop all of them at once:p
Just castsequence i gues. Havnt tryed yet prob gonna do that today. Having that totemspell (that drops all) on that castsequence.

I got a answer on how commas work in castsequence macros in a other thread, so i guess i will be able to stagger them now:)
