Rolled the joint. My guys are finally all doing 2k+ reliably, tank's dps is up significantly, my healing is fine tuned, I'm remembering to keep Divine Plea up, and I've added some awesome macros from several threads for various utility.
Easiest first time run, ever, even blew threw Ionar with only one dispersion, which he did at 33%, which I avoided easily. Lots of blue drops - I got two of the same blue mail boots, even. No tanking trinket, so I'll be farming for that. Loken was a pushover. Only one death, from the Hall of the Watchers, because I forgot how it worked, and lost aggro for a bit.
Seriously, easiest fights of all of the instances, on normal. Tomorrow, I try Heroic. I'll probably get rolled, but what the heck - I could farm this place on normal forever for relics and rep!
I don't know why, but I've been avoiding the place, concentrating on other instances. /facepalm

Ionar was changed to only do 1 Disperse. He used to be a bitch, now he is a kitten.

That explains it. I should be able to handle him in Heroic - will try tonight!

yeah it's not much harder at all in heroic., I'd go so far as to say the trash between Ionar and loken is the hardest part of the instance.

UK and HoL were my first two heroic clears. I struggled with Ionar on normal and didn't try the old Ionar on heroic, was already changed by the time I moved into heroics. Was surprisingly easy.
Loken is a bit tougher on heroic. An AoE healer can make it trivial as long as everyone has enough health to survive a Nova and get topped off before a Nova and as long as your healer's mana can go the distance. I got the <2m kill achievement on my first Loken kill, he really does go down quick if you just focus dps and heal through the Nova.

HoL was the first instance I cleared or was is CoS? Either way it is super easy Ionar is a breeze just spread everyone out and do not move at all even when he/she breaks off into little torrents. Just stand too and heal through it.

Try Ionar with a melee group, it's a nightmare :)

I don't know why I had it in my head that HoL was harder than the others. Go figure.
Off to try tonight!

Eh I still wipe with only one disperse. Now he throws more of those lightning balls that F*ck your guys up something fierce. Im not sure its that much easier. It still requires a crap ton of defensive cooldowns.
edit: this is with melee group. Caster group this guy is cake now.

I do the same for this guy that I do with Skadi. Max range between tank and healer, on disperse, send the melee guys to run to the healer. If the disperse is still going when they get to the healer, strafe a bit {since melee and the tank are facing the healer, they will strafe in opposite directions} and call the DPS back to my tank

oh you have a healer with your melee. That makes it a ton easier =)
I run 4 rets and a DK tank. There is no dedicated healer, I actually find disperse easy to avoid. It's the lightning balls that kill my team. For disperse, as soon as he starts casting I just run off with them in tow and they dont take damage.

Yup. I just did the first two bosses on Heroic - the trash pulls take more effort. The NyQuil is kicking in, so I called it in the Hall Of Watchers, I just do not look forward to the trash before Lokan while medicated. :)
Mage is doing 3k in there, boomer and lock are doing 1.8k. Have to heal more, but I finished both bosses with 50% mana. Forgot I had to run through the slag, that was fun...not.
Oh - got the achievement on the General, "Lightining Struck".
Will do my best to clear it tomorrow.
Did I mention I HATE slag?

I run through with the pally aggroing and then park the team at the top of the stairs and the pally runs straight on to the wall. I just DPS the slag down 1 at a time from there.

That's pretty much what I ended up doing - I ran in and started whacking them, remembered how it works, ran out, cleared what I pulled, ran through and up the stairs, cleared them at the top. It's actually a really cool idea, dungeon design-wise, it's just annoying when you forget about it. Arcatraz had that one room with the mutants that was like that.

I heard ret pallies had healing spells? truth?
/taunts and runs away.
