Hey guys,

I was wondering.. atm I'm playing a bit more casual than I used to.
This is because my team is at level 70 (60%) and it just takes ages to level!

I'm just running one instance a day (for the emblems), I know it won't go uber fast if I only play this much, but I was wondering if leveling will go a lot faster when I hit lvl 71 and can join the same AV with my whole team (one already dinged 71..).
Because I've also read that the XP you gain in BG's is adjusted to the level you are playing and not the max level in the bracket. Is this a big nerf in AV leveling or not?

Or do you guys have any suggestions to keep leveling fun but also a bit faster? :p

Then end of the week is getting close and I finally have some vacation! So I want to level them up during my time off!

According to a good friend of mine who leveled to 80 in the past week from Bgs (from 71) he said that it is between 10-12 wins per level or so. You can assume each will take approximately 20 minuets.

So if you win everything straight that is 200-240 minuets for a level assuming instant que times. So ~4 hours per level. But we all know that winning every AV isn't really possible without pre-mades... so you're going to spend about the same amount of time questing as you would in bgs to level. Also questing from 70-80 you get a LOT of money.

It will heavily depend on your server/battle-group.

As I posted somewhere else, I have been levelling my 5 Mages from 74 all the way to 80 without being able to enter a single Alterac Valley. Not one ! I was constantly in queue, played at different times of the day and night, etc ...

With constant rested bonus and 20% XP bonus from Heirloom, questing goes quite fast though.

Yup, id stick with questing. But what you can do, if you have a lot of que. Que up when u loggon and then play the AV everytime it popps up, meanwhile waiting, you quest.

Think i'm gonna pick up questing again too.
So i'll start with a random dungeon for the emblems. The random is always UK atm.
Then I'll queue myself for AV and in the meanwhile I'll just quest.

AV brackets for 70 and 71 are the same so you can join in with your team right away. Its 70-79 and 80

Also after 3.3 the amount of AV's i could play per day dropped significantly (3.3 was somewhere in the middle of my 70-80 process). I can only guess that's because most people play their mains again instead of alts.

That's what I thought too at first, but I was always getting the message "make sure everyone in your team can join the same bracket" or something.. so I think it's 61-70; 71-79; 80

Yeah, yesterday i queued for like half an hour and I didn't get a single AV.. guess I'll just queue when i start questing and join whenever I can

You also gotta remember that the xp from AV got nerfed in 3.3. Before 3.3, you recived XP from the highest level in the BG (79) now you recive xp depending on your level (70-71) havnt tested out yet how big "nerf" it went, but i gues it could be some at least

I feel your pain. When I was 70-71 I was really bored and thought it would take forever. But if you just knock out quests, you'll quickly see your XP bar rise. I feel questing is faster than AV. From 70-75 I mixed questing/AV/instances. It helped keep me interested.

AV imo was very boring and annoying. Alliance only wins every once in a while, and even a win really doesn't get you much XP, specially once you hit 76+.

76+ I couldn't find any more decent quests, and all the cool quest chains had some sort of collection quest. So I have been instance grinding since 76, and it has been perfectly fine for me. Instance quests are also nice to do. I haven't checked Icecrown since 77 so I'm sure some more quests opened up when I dinged 78.

AV would be cool if Drek was easier to tank and didn't destroy you so fast.
