3 hunters

got 3 freshly 80 hunters.. should i leave them all BM or go one of each spec. right now with the gear they got there pulling about 1.5k on trash and broke 2.1k on bosses with hero. for tank goes most the time there group with my pally but got one of ever tanking classes on that account i could group them with. for healer i use my resto shammy because the disc priest they lvled with gear sucks and trying to gear the hunter fast =).

It's def. easier if all of them have the same spec since you have less micromanagement.

I have a group with three hunters as well though I went down the survival route and recently speced them all to MM even with my gear the dps difference is marginal but you don't have to worry about refreshing your sting(s).

MM/SV should be a big DPS boost for the hunters. I haven't played for a bit but I always preferred to trust the hunters over their pets in instances. Someone can correct me if I have this wrong, but MM may be better as it has fewer abilities that are randomly available (ie, they become active after a proc, which I find is very inefficient for a boxer). I think that I used to run my three hunters as one MM (for the AP buff) and two SV (DPS and replenishment).

To tell the truth though, I don't think I even tried running BM once they were 77 or 78. Since I was mostly running outdoors quests, 2x Explosive Shot plus whatever the MM hunter threw at a mob was enough to kill stuff before the pets even got within range. :)

I personally like having 1 of each type of spec in my 5 man group. I just have 2 keys (5 and 6) that I spam for their different spec abilities and it works fine for me.

all the hunters are MM spec now (with lvl 77 cats) and pushing 2k+ on trash and over 3k (with hero) on bosses. so there dps is much better and should go up little more once the kitties get lvled.
