In short: Is there a noticeably difference between SLC and MLC when it comes to WoW?
Lets say the SLC drive is an Intel X25-E and the MLC drive is an Intel X25-M, will the benefits of SLC-drives be wasted in this scenario?
If you load Dalaran (at low graphics) on 4x instances of WoW, will one drive load significantly faster then the other? Or are their performance about the same in this scenario?

i recently got my 2nd SSD.
i now have 2 OCZ Vertex Series Turbo 30GB drives.
the nice thing about the turbo version is the max. read speed of 240MB/s (and write of 145 MB/s) which rivals the X-25 intel series.
at first i was just using 1 of the drives with windows, and the patch.mpq, wotlk.mpq etc symlinked to this drive.
now with the second drive i can have the entire wow folder on it which amazingly improved loadtimes and fps even more.
imo, get 1 big driver (60GB) or 2x 30GB, 1 for windows, and 1 for WoW (with free space to load other heavy singleplayer games on if you want)
link to OCZ drive i use http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/solid_state_drives/ocz_vertex_turbo_series_sata_ii_2_5-ssd
this one costs about 140 euro here in holland.

I didnt consider the option to buy more drives..
Now I need to find out what is faster, 2x medium drives or 1x expensive drive for the same cost as the two medium fast drives..

You can't go wrong with the Intel X25-M G2 80GB. Its been around a while and it is a solid performer. Not sure if the price difference for the X25-E is worth it.

You're right. X25-M may not be the fastest, but it should be more then fast enough.
That sums it up I think.. If I want more speed I can just buy another affordable ssd and have two of em.
