Ok, another team question..
I have an 80 team already 3x shammy with druid healer. This was a very easy team to manage. So I got bored. There is/was no challenge to it.
I know most like easy mode. I get bored with easy. So I'm rerolling on a different server going alliance (again)..
I do 4 toons hubby does tank.
I'm looking to get the most out of my team as possible.
I'm thinking
Druid boomkin (buff)
Mage frost (buff)
Priest Healer (buff)
Shammy totems
OR
Warlock with felpuppy
Shammy totem
Priest healer
Mage frost-fire
Another option
Pally healer
warlock
Priest(shadow)
Mage
Or I could throw in a hunter instead of a clothie.. I'm open to options. Suggestions. Ideas.. I haven't done a lot at 80 with other classes. So I'm not postive on what works best were or in what situations. I haven't even looked into the new instances yet. Hubby wanted to reroll on another sever from scratch. And I was a moron and agreed. Just after I got all toons epic flyers...
Ok let the suggestions roll.
And of course thanks for answering. Any thoughts are appreciated.

what is your husband rolling for tank?
From my perspective, I rolled a pally healer when I was 4+1 {husband tanking}. While it was doable, I really found it to be massive amounts of work to combat AOE damage, which distracted me from being able to do more with my DPS. Auras and blessings were awesome, which is why I still use 2 paladins now that I 5 box, but I will never use a holydin for boxing again as long as they are left out of the true AOE healing loop.
While I liked the boomkin buffs, I found the DPS lacking. It relied too heavily on managing Eclipse procs, which while it wasn't too bad, she could never seem to stand up to the rest of my DPS and most of her buffs could be easily replaced with a more stable DPS class.
It's hard to argue with totems. I love me a few sets of totems. And my husband was miserable with his 5-box team {pally, priest, 3x locks} until he dropped a lock to get a shammy in. Just having tremor totem made his life so much easier.
Warlocks are another class I enjoyed, but with my husband running a slew of them, there was no need for more when it came to raiding.
Once you decide on a few, it's easier to fill in the rest. Priest and mage seem to make it into all your potential groups. People could offer more advice as far as specs and classes maximize your group synergry if you can let us know a few definites {like what tank and one or two classes you think really want to include}.

Thank you for your reply. You made some very valid points.
Tank doesn't matter. He has druid, Pally, and Warrior. I don't think he is interested in DK.
I like you agree with the boomkin. That bothers me with procs. And even with a careful eye the dps still lacks IMO. I was worried about the pally healing as well. AOE is major in the later instances and I know with the druid healer I had to have hots going on all all the time to cover AOE.. so no pally healer and no boomkin...
I do not have my heart set on any thing for the must have's. I've played all classes- races. So nothing is new to me.
But i haven't played all in a multi box setting. Duel boxing yes. Just not a a team. So with the elimanation of boomkin and pally.. Leaves warlock, mage, shammy priest... and possible hunter.
Well your reply just narrowed it down.. I'll make up that class set and level a hunter on the side for a just incase I might want to add her in.
Again thank you!

I really like Disc Priest as the healer, but a Resto Druid can be as good.
I only really look at a Resto Shaman, if the team doesn't have any shammies.
And as Khat mentioned, a Holy Pally is a challenge for both mobile encounters and AoE.
If you don't already have a Disc Priest, I'd go with that for heals.
With a predominantly caster team, you'd want one of:
Unholy Death Knight, Boomkin or Warlock, for the 13% spell power buff.
Boomkin has a few more toys then the warlock, but you have to manage eclipse procs.
Either would work, and I'd really recommend one of the two on your team.
Hmm two more spots.
Elemental Shaman is huge for any caster team.
And without any shaman already on the team, I'd go with one of these.
A Frost mage gets you very good AoE, and a second option for Replenishment (warlock has it too).
I like the persistent water pet, and the snares/freeze is amazing for a caster team.
If your husband goes with a druid tank, it could dual-spec to Balance.
And then Frost is even better.
If you didn't go Boomkin, a Fire or fire hybrid might be another option; you have procs to watch, but procs on one toon isn't that hard, but its less fun with several toons to manage procs for.
A totally different team, which you have not mentioned as an option.
But can be quite fun too..
The melee team.
It plays very different from anything else.
If you go this route, and have a healer, I'd go Resto Shaman or Resto Druid.
Because that gets you a ranged AoE heal - Chain Heal or Wild Growth.
Choose from Enhancement Shammy, Feral Druid (cats, since you have a tank already), Ret Paladin, Mutilate Rogue, Death Knight or Warrior etc.
Melee is a blast, but its hard-mode for certain encounters.
And cake for others.

nope no priests.. So priest it is for healing.
I have thought about melee.. That is one aspect I'm leroy of..lol. But it would be a challenge.
Ok so for my team I have
Mage, warlock, shammy,Priest.
Melee team.. Druidx3 feral and druid healer.. Or Ret pallys.. With druid healer..
Enhancement shammys... I haven't had one of those since vanilla wow. When bc came out went elemental. Is enhancement as good as it should be? If it is I'll do 2 shammys druid cat and druid healer.
ugg the options..LOL

Frost mages are TERRIBLE for end game.
The rotation for druids is a priority based rotation like ret is... i'm not exactly sure how it would work out but i'm sure it would be fine. Kitty DPS is pretty straight forward... to put it lightly make sure mangle is up and mash other main attacks =P I use to know a kitty DPS in team ice who pulled 10k before 3.1 and just under 10k afterwards... i havn't played in a while so i dont know his current dps but with good gear kitties can be great.
I would also suggest mutilate rogues. Having one macro'd to keep up expose armor and the other 2 just using their ruptureless rotation. Could be fun.
