Powerleveling nowadays?

Me and a good friend of mine decided to come back to WoW after about a year and a half break. We decided we weren't gonna mess with our mains and just re-roll something new and get back in the game. We were wondering if there were any way we can use our mains for powerleveling in the lower levels, or did they nerf that stuff?

You can group your mains effectivly with your lowbies if you kill mobs that are NOT GREY to the mains .....

If you are making a new account, the mobs being grey to your main should not matter. At least it didn't the last time i used RAF and power leveled my own characters back in august.

questing is a painful for sure but so is boosting there is no easy way it would be nice if during the next Xpac they allowed you to start at 55 if you already had one.

With no easy or good solution for me I have decided to just pace the leveling of my alt teams. Run a few quest or a level a day all rested. Treating it almost as an after thought or something to do when I am bored with my mains.

I actually ran some random PuGs on my warlock last night for kicks.

1) Groups were not retarded
2) XP was awesome (you get extra for random dungeons)

So if your toons are in the same level range, just run them through the system. :)

If you're going on existing accounts, mains can run you through things for much better gear then you can get at whatever level.

If you're willing to go with new accounts, one each, you can RAF link your new accounts.
And then use either main, to boost your new toons.
Or even just normally quest, no boosting, but get 3x exp's for everything except exploration from 1-60.
