How to prepare for boxing trolls?

For the upcoming expansion, I'd to triple box 3 troll shamans, and I was wondering whats the best way to prepare for this. Obviously there is all of the heirlooms, so should I prepare my current 3 80s to get all the heirlooms they can? I'll try to hoard up some gold in the meantime as well, but what are some other good strategies to ensure I get the 3 trolls to lvl 85 pretty fast?

Get them heirlooms and then to 80, if you like them then continue to play them. The better gear you have by the time the expansion comes out the easier it will be for you to get to 85. Heirloom %exp will not work past 80 (bluepost, posted on mmo-champion.com)

Also think about picking up the tome of flight in NR, so they can fly as soon as they want to go north. 1k each might be hard if you look at swift flyers/training and the 1k cost.

I guess the biggest question is if you'll make them lvl 1 trolls when cataclysm comes out, or level them as another race to 80 now and race change to trolls when cataclysm comes out.

Umm, trolls can already be shamans so you could start them now! Or did you mean troll druids?

Personally, since I have only an abandoned L43 tauren shaman I was boosting, I'm planning to tri-box 3 goblin shammies in Cataclysm...but not when it first launches. I'm only buying one copy initially and leveling my "mains" solo.

I've kinda gotten out of boxing temporarily. Just doing 10-mans on my rogue, farming triumph on my hunter, and doing "random LK dungeon" to level my protadin which is also on my main account.

have they confirmed that as being a viable option? So I could potentially take my current 3 shamans and just do a quick change to goblins... that'd be nice and a time /gear saver

It will be a viable option.

Blizz are not sure they will let it be posible at launch tho. (Dont think they have offered a final answer on this yet)

Something about not wanting the first level 80 of the new class/race combos to be a race/faction changer
