I am having to redo macros more or less each time I play because they are incorrect. I think the problem is I use different PC's at work (lucky enough to have IT job and can play at work sometimes) and at home.
Can anyone tell me what files I might try backing up so all my macro's and keybinding does not constantly need redone? I notice that Blizz has added section for standard macro and user specific, but my problems remain.
An example is, I have mount and dismounted macros bound to F1 and F2 and each time I start accounts, they are gone...I have to recreate them and rebind them. I always name them the same, use same icon and hot keys. I tried backing up WTF folder, but does not seem to help.
As always, thank you.

All macros get auto saved in your WTF folder.

All macros get auto saved in your WTF folder.

the macros are the files
macros-cache.txt
macros-local.txt

key bindings are
bindings-cache.txt

Note that the macros-xxxx.txt files exist in two places:

--> \WoW\WTF\Account\<youraccountname>\ == global macros
--> \WoW\WTF\Account\<youraccountname>\<server>\<charactername>\ == character-specific macros

Copying the text files over does indeed duplicate the macros exactly.

you should also note that what possition your spells/macros are placed on your hotbar is stored on the server.

This will mean that you should use the same ui-setup on all computers you use, or you could get problems that spells/macros dont show up where you want them to be on your bars.
