Full T9.0 or mix?

With reference to Svpernova's thread http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=26242 on "farming" the T9.0 set I have a quick question into the round:

What are you aiming for and think is better (or have already):
Full T9.0 (210 Emblems of Triumph)
or
Mix of 3xT.9 + iLvl245 head&shoulders? (no pun intended :)) (250 Emblems of Triumph)

I am not sure whether to go for full T9 +2 set-bonuses or rather 3xT9 with +1 set-bonus and the two iLvl245 head&shoulders...

It really depends stat wise, I went for 4pc since I was already rocking 2pc T8. 4pc Lock and Shaman T9 was a lot better than what I was using. I think the set bonus' are worth it, so I went that route. If you have access to higher end gear, I would make the decision just based on stats. My resto shaman has ToC 25 pants, which are just as good / better than the T9 pants, so IMO it's not worth 50 badges for T9.

If you are running shaman i would go with... 4 piece t9 (not chest) plus Merlin's robes (gemmed it gives 200 sp, 90 haste, 66 crit)

If you are running druids... i honestly would probably do the same. (edited, looked at ur sig)

Yeah that primordial saronites going to cost a grip, by the time you have money for 6 of those, you would be crapping emblems from your ears.

4XT9 for all my toons in the end. There are definitely better items for certain slots/toons, for example some of those nice crafted items, so I would just base it on what I had at the time.

by tier 9 you mean the off set pieces you can get right? I didn't see anywhere to buy the things that let you exchange for the armor/spec you need. Looks like ele shaman would be in a lot of cloth and crap

Not sure if I understood your confusion or not, but I will assume I did :)

Tier 9 is purchased using Triumph emblems. There is chest, head, shoulder, foot and leg armor. There are also rings and ranged items (wands, totems, librams) that you can purchase.

There are also non-set items (e.g., head, shoulders) that cost more emblems as well.

Tier 9.25 requires a trophy that drops in raids and Tier 9.5 are from drops only.
