Random Heroic Dungeon Common selection

Hi all,
so now that I am getting a little more confident with my 5 man team (cleared Gundrak and UK pretty easily last night, locks hitting 2k each, still working on my hunter lol) I am wondering how everyone is doing with the random heroics. Does there seem to be any heroic that gets selected a lot (I know it is random :) ).
My thought is that I am still a little new at heroics and so UK and Anu or OK would be tough for me but DK, UK and Gun are most likely an easy 2 Emblems of Frost for a first random of the day, which looking at the gear available, the frost stuff is awesome :p .

So any insights?

i get the bug zones everyday so far ( OK and Ank ) I never did those on a regular basis before this patch, but they are so easy now! Even Oculas is easy but I hate the mechanics of that zone, easy or not. If i get Oc, I just kill the first boss to eat up the debuff timer and head out.

Actually another question, if I use the random tool and get saved to a dungeon, will it be the first dungeon I get saved to that I must clear to get the emblems of frost or is it only the first one I clear and not the first saved?
Question make sense?? :p

Ive gotten The Occulus a lot. Saturday I got it 3 times. There are a few I have not gotten at all like Draktharon Keep,Hall of Stone or the Nexus.

I too quit out of Occ if it pops as do many now. Its just not worth it anymore.

No you get frost emblems from teh first random heroic that you finish all the way thru. So even if you get OC first and leave, if the next heroic you finish you will get the frost badges. Yeah I seem to get old kingdom alot on my pally group which I have not been able to do.

But what if I get saved to a dungeon? Or does the saved concept not apply when doing random heroics?

Getting saved to the dungeon doesn't matter.

I'm up to 6 or 7 dungeons i've attempted and completed. When I do the random, I'll just enter and clear all the bosses that I can to eat up the debuff, teleport out, and then enter a new one.

I seem to get HoL a lot. I usually just killed first boss and left cause I was scared to try it. Loken was a pain the one time I did it on normal, before i had gear and shamans to 80 (got tank trinket and never went back). I finally just did it last night when I got it. It was no problem one of the easier ones...now I'll probably never get it again......

So with the debuff start from the minute you enter the dungeon? Or is it from when you leave the queue if you opt to not take the random dungeon? Seems like from the above post that the debuff starts regardless of whether you do the assigned dungeon or not?

The debuff starts once you accept the random dungeon. I've gotten the debuff a few times with the "Additional instances cannot be launched" message. You don't even need to make it into the instance. My routine starts with queueing up for random and getting HoS, then porting my group to H GD and completing it. Then I queue up for random and get HoS again, then port to H CoS and farm the mount. Then queue up for another random and hopefully get one that I can box. If not, off to H UK, H UP, H HoL, H DTK or log onto one of the other groups.

Well I tried the random dungeon finder last night and it was pretty much a train wreck lol. I got Occulus 3 times, DTK 2 times (which I only got the first boss downed, bypassed Novos and then stuck on the dino guy due to his fearing my team :( ) . I also got HoS which I had a bad pull and wiped on. So overall a pretty crappy night with only the first boss in DTK downed twice :(
I think I will stick to the ones I know until I get a little more geared and then retry DTK. The fear buff really messed me up, one time he had only 20k left when I wiped :( , very frustrating :(

For DTK, I used to skip the dino too. You still get the extra emblems even if you skip the middle 2 bosses.

I was wondering if I would get the Frost Emblems by just doing the first and last boss :) . Btw on the last boss, is it still as easy to multibox as it is on single pugging, it always seemed just tank and spank with everyone meleeing on the boss when he does his spell to change everyone to skeletons? Is there any way to preview the action bar that pops up for this part of the fight? I am not sure what way my keybinds would translate for this fight.

On the last boss, I spread out my slaves and dps as usual. When we get transformed, I spam the 4 key and click 2 on the main instance(tank). Move them out of the pool as necessary. Also pets keep on dpsing during the changes. I don't know if you have any shamans or not.

1 = attack
2 = taunt
3 = shield
4 = steal life/heal skillasomethingy

that sounds just like my afternoon, I've gotten HoS first round every day so far, and I just select CoS or another instance I'd rather be doing and in a click im there....

So if you select another heroic dungeon it allows you to enter that one instead? Or are you waiting for the debuff to wear off? Also is there any way to know which dungeon it is offering before accepting? I am not seeing which dungeon it is offering before I accept the dungeon?

I select specific dungeon while in HoS. The debuff prevents you from putting yourself back into random but doesn't matter if you're selecting a specific dungeon. So in a way I'm waiting for the debuff to wear off and farm up a dungeon that I can box. There's no way of seeing which dungeon you'd get assigned to so you can't keep rolling until you get one you like.

Ah. cool, I did not know the debuff had no effect of regular heroics :D , DUH!!
