Hello, i havnt yet been /w by a gm about my Dualboxing but when i get i whant to be prepaird so i dont have to over explain what im doing, can some1 just make a good line that i can use to say how dualboxing works?

Atm i dont really know what to say to a GM more than, im dualboxing, im not using a third person program and its not agains the Tos, i control both of my chars.

tell him you use three radio controlled keyboards and put them one the same frequency so that you can control three PCs with one keyboard because every keystroke will be recieved from each of the recievers.

usually the non-technical GMs understand what you're doing there.

ok, i gues u could say it that way, but isnt it easyer to mension Keyclone as a program and tell them it gives the effect of having both WoW windows in focus so i can control both? Or is there anotherway of explaining using one computer, 2 wow accs and keyclone on?

Keep it simple.

I tell everyone who asks, 5 computers, 1 wireless keyboard and they instantly get it.

1 key = 1 button to all 5 computers.

I have never been messaged by any GM in regards to my toons, ever. I've been playing several toons since day 5, day 1 only had 1 copy per person.

naa was most conserned about it, if i am speaking to a GM about it and have it hard to describe what im doing, and getting banned bacause i dont really know what to say. Allways good to be prepaird even if i know its not against the ToS to dualboxing. :)

Just say that you are playing several accounts with a shared broadcasted keyboard. If this is done by software or hardware doesnt really matter, so I dont really mention it unless someone asks.

If you read through ToS and EULA you will see it is only illegal to use software that automates things, mines data or makes decisions.

Im using the multibox application to broadcast my keyinputs. I cant really see how this is different from any other remote tools like vnc or such.

Tell them you use a keyboard multiplexor (that is what KeyClone is, that is what a Vectra is, that is what 1 wireless keyboard with 5 receivers is) and that you press a key and it goes to all 5 accounts.

You aren't lying.
You aren't giving them ammunition about running 3rd party software.
You aren't giving them more information than they can understand easily.

Keep the following in mind:
My guild, Band of the Black Hand, had it's name forcibly changed by GM's due to the name violating the naming convention (It had "Black Hand" in it which was too close to "Blackhand". For 8 months I petitioned once a month appealing the decision. For 7 of those months and multiple contacts with GM's a month I was told that the name was a violation and should have been changed. The 8th month they restored the name.

On a similar note, a friend was using 3 accounts for real money trade, he was mining the auctionhouse and making enough gold that it was $14/hour US... they banned all three accounts. He petitioned the GM's over and over as well, and eventually got two of the three accounts restored.

You have to catch them on a good day in a good mood for that sorta results, but you catch the wrong gm on the wrong day in the wrong mood, admitting openly to using software could get you a banstick. It's not likely, especially considering the multiple blue posts.

IIRC you're not allowed to use names of NPCs or mobs from ingame. Kinda makes sense for char names, but for guild name? Dunno.
