I am trying to figure out the best build for my 3x ret paladins for max dps.
Should I focus on spell damage for my ret paladins? considering all there dmg really are spells, or should I focus on str, agil for crits?
Also on my prot paladin, I should focus on armor, sta, str, agil right?
I need all the help I can get, I am trying to maximize dps on my toons, if you have any advice please let me know.
Also this might be weird, but is it normal for my prot paladin to out dps my ret paladins by double there dps?
AFAIK only holy paladins still need SP. The priest needs SP. Prot paladins don't particularly need agil other than what they get incidentally.
Prot shouldn't beat the rets by double unless there's a major gear / level discrepancy, or unless you're using them wrong.
(Incidentally, you caught me in the middle of playing with the same comp...currently trying to sort out the disc. vs. holy question. I think I'll probably start the priest holy to get faceroll AoE healing then migrate to or at least try disc. later. The guys are all around 60 from when I finished RAF.)

Well I know is, holy priest freaking OWN. To tell you the truth since I speced one of my ret tanks prot. All I need to keep my group alive is just prayer of healing, with divine providence you just chain that bad boy on any boss = win.
I clear out so many dungeons, at way lower lvl then recommended.
I dunno why my rets are doing less dps than my prot, everything is firing off just fine.
What type of build u think is best for a ret then if they don't need sp?
I thought with more sp, consecration would just rape x4.
Yeah, I've used a holy priest before while leveling, it was cake. Then they nerfed circle of lol into the ground...and it was still cake.
Back in the day when dinosaurs roamed the Earth and men were men, Paladins needed all sorts of stats. Pretty much everything, you name it, including spell power. As a result, gearing them up was just retarded, and the only really viable spec endgame was Holy healers. One day, Blizzard came down from on high and said "hey ya'll, this sucks, have some better itemization"...and ever since, only Holy Paladins still care about spell power. Everyone else gets it incidentally from other stats. For example, look at the formula for Consecration - [8 * (113 + 0.04 * SPH + 0.04 * AP)] - all you need comes from attack power. You can have spell power, and it will do stuff, but it's by far the worst way to gear your non-holy Paladin as you will get the same effect from other stats, and those other stats will also make your melee strikes hit like the fist of an angry god.
