Wotlk - ICC - Dungeons - Normal vs Heroic

Hey all,

I haven't unlocked the new dungeons yet, but I was curious as to how difficult they are compared to the old heroics. In particular... I'm interested in farming for the Battered Hilt (Or purchasing if the price is cheap enough). I'm pretty sure I can clear trash on the heroics modes, but maybe not the bosses. But I think the quest line only requires regular mode.

Also, I imagine the new dungeons, even in regular mode, provide some good upgrades, like ToC regular did, and I believe they also drop emblems of Triumph. So it'd be pretty interested in getting in there if possible.

So if I can clearn Gundrak, UK, DTK and CoS, do you think I would be able to handle normal mode of the ICC dungeons?

The main reason why I ask instead of just doing it, is that I don't want to unlock the dungeons (and thus add them to the possibility of heroic random dungeon) and reduce my chances of getting a heroic I can farm if it ends up not being worth it in the end.

I think you'll have no problem clearing the non-heroic versions if you can do a regular heroic. I had an easier time with all of the ICC non-heroics than any of the regular heroic dungeons, period.

If you can do the ICC bosses on non-heroic, then you can do all of the heroic trash in the ICC dungeons. My 4x Rets are in full deadly with furious offset pieces and the 212dps 2h from Garfrost regular and I can clear all PoS heroic trash in like, 15 minutes tops.

Normal is a faceroll really, aslong as you know wtf to do. Even on normal some bosses tramp your slaves easily, if your doing it totally wrong ofc.

I would say that depends on the group-setup? Yes, the trash aint that hard, but some of the trash in FoS really hurts for any tank (those 9k shadowbolts comes to mind)

I've only been to FoS heroic once and I found the groups of 3/4 casters who are holding a ghoul thing prisoner pretty hard. I think because they were fairly well spread out and I couldn't see a way to los the first group. Any tips on these guys would be appreciated am I missing something? Does anyone else find them hard?
