Xkeys pro v G13

I've got a dillema. Coming up to Christmas I've got the opportunity of getting a new toy. My current setup I'm using a logitech G15 (the old one) keyboard. I have an x-keys pro, but haven't really utilised it because I don't have much space on my desk and found myself having to switch back to the keyboard to type to guildies as much.

I like the look of the thumbstick for the g13 but was wondering if it's really worth going for that when I already have the xkeys.

I'm going to try to give the xkeys another try - I'll set it up tonight - but I was wondering if anyone has tried both and if so what did they feel was more suitable?

I'm currently levelling a team of 5 shaman which will have 1 shaman swapped out at 80 for heroics....and will use the 5 shaman when pvping.

I love my g13, the thumbstick is very useful for movement.
I have never used the XKeys but it does not look as comfortable to use as a G13 is.

I have used both. I used the Xkeys for a long time until the G13 came out. Now it is G13 all the way. Teamed up with the original G15 keyboard and ISboxer this combo can't be beat.

The extra keys on the Xkeys is nice but it wasn't practical enough and the G13 joystick is a dream when it comes to moving the slaves. I do repeater region healing so I don't need/have tons of healing keys mapped out.

Just saw a G13 at Best Buy, didn't get it because I didn't know quite what it was.

Is it just basically extra buttons, used in addition to the keyboard, etc? I use 1 computer for all my girls, but the extra buttons would be huge.

And a direction stick !!! This is a great thing once you're used to it.

I cannot recommand the G13 too much.

I think the x keys is just an "addon". It's something use in addition to your normal keypad. I have little pictures of all my totems on there as well as things like fire elementals earth ele's.

My accept, invites, res macros, drinking and buffs are done from the x keys. TBH its not something you would "play with".

Well thanks for the feedback. I'm absolutely LOVING this piece of kit. Was far easier to get into than the x-keys. As I already have the original g15, I was able to put my lesser used keys onto that and have all my keys I need literally at my finger tips.

God I hadn't thought about that, binding slave movement to my joystick and using the wasd style inprint keys on the g13 for the main. That would solve a shit load of my problems actually. :/

Pretty much the only thing holding me back in PvE is just having sloppy keybindings, and when I have alot of stuff going down having to move hands away from movement keys, or too other movment keys.

At the moment I use the two buttons around the joystick to drop totems. :) I use joystick down to release my totems so I'd have to get used to not doing that.

I have G13 + G15 as well. The best part about it is I can take my Innerspace Profile and my G13 to another computer and be setup for boxing rather quickly. :D
