Anyone done the new ICC 5-mans on live yet?

Any info is appreciated - euro servers are still coming up, and extended maintenance for some (a.o. Grim Batol).

Does the hilt drop for all chars in the group or just one? How long does the quest take to complete?

Are they difficult? Can we do them as boxers? How is the difficult to the other heroic instances?

I dont know if they changed something since Ive done it (3 weeks ago) but yea actually they are difficult (some parts at least)..

They are more difficult than most other heroic and yea of course boxers can do them :D Even though I wiped a few times at ICK and his damn AoE spells :/

I did heroic Forge of Souls, it's easy. Just make sure you can easily move and make sure you can easily throw group heals. If you guys get the 1st boss in Pit of Saron down, share your methods, I got stomped by him. All that frost damage and Gift and FR totem didn't do a lot.

I ran the first heroic 5man (forget the name) with my 5x melee group, pretty easy for a dk + 4 pally team imo...didnt get a chance to try the others as our server broke after that. Gearwise I have zero PVE gear, nothing but ilvl 213 and ilvl 245 pvp gear on my team

Also id like to add that the hilts are tradeable and can be sold, farming these for the first week or so may be worth while as I would expect the prices to drop fairly rapidly. On my server they are on AH for 10k, no idea if people are paying that much but thats what they are listed as. Hell, people paid thousands of gold for frost orbs a few days after wotlk started ;)

Having issues with devourer of souls soon as he leaps a shaman insta dies. trying to move the shaman and taunt but doesnt seem to be working. any suggestions?

If you waited till he leaps, you've waited too long, that means you've been standing in stuff thats killing you. You should see a purple area around the ground this indicates where he is leaping to. once you see it. move. I just whipped everyone around and continued DPS.

nm got him. thats quite a bit of moving heh. Yea i thought he just picked a target and when he jumped to them he dropped the aoe thing. but him dropping aoe thing before hand helps a ton.

he'll mark someone with a red beam, I kept all my slaves in 1 spot so I'd always know where he would jump to, so when I saw the red beam, I got a couple chain heals off then I knew it was time to start moving. Worked well. I downed him only having to move twice, but did lose a shaman in the process.

wow first boss in pit is a bitch like you said heh. if he ddint toss all my chars diff directions wouldnt be too bad. Corners=no go for this guy. If i could only tell when he was tossing bolders at my shamans it would be a little better

The docs on wowwiki said there is a shadow where the booulder is heading, I couldn't see from the AoE pulsing effect or whatever it was he was doing. My best attempt was getting him to ~50% on heroic just brute force running around trying to avoid boulders.

I used interact with target to get my shammies together on forgemaster in PoS HC, worked well although I lost 2 shammies during the fight. Got him on 3rd try.

Ick was nasty, managed to get him to 3 pct and 7 pct in 5 tries before I had to log for the day, getting back in the fight tomorrow. Ick is a fun fight btw, I love the zigzag during the bombs, although I'm having trouble with running one slave away during the phase where he targets a random target member and runs for him. I used follow and just ran the whole team which worked like half of the times, but most of the time he'd kill the target. How do you guys handle that?

What luck did you have with the hilts? I got 2 to drop during the clearing of PoS trash (both from the small skellie mobs). Anyone have all five yet? Do they also drop from normal?

Ya I need answers to these questions as well =) I did solo last night with the pally (trying to get him better tanking gear) but while I was doing this bosses I was wonding how boxers could do it. So any help would be great!

Just bubble who he is running for and he will turn around and go right back to your tank. I've also used ice block if he runs at my mage.

Sounds like they are a reasonable drop rate then? I doubt I'll be able to get on to try the new instances much before the weekend.

I got a hilt my first PoS run.

In Pos, you can run behind the saronite boulders to clear the frost debuff. The frost debuff is also has a range, so when he runs to a forge for a weapon stay away and the debuff should(maybe) clear. My server was really unstable last night so I didn't get to do the heroic versions of the new 5mans. I was able to get in the normal versions, and since I have to farm Tyrannus for the caster shield I wanted to see how much of a pain it will be.

Posts on wowhead indicate the hilt is dropping multiple times over the course of all three instances. Only on heroic and only from trash. ilvl 251 weapons will be nice for those of us who don't raid.
