So you ever find yourself wishing you could roll back that addon you just installed but can't find the old version? Ever wish you could go back to the previous configuration you had a week ago but deleted the files?

Mozy is a backup system we recently deployed at work, and they have a home version thats free for up to 2gb... this means it's great for backing crap up like your addons folders and multiboxing configs... easy to setup, etc...

Of course, if you use the referal I get a little more space, so I'd appreciate it... :).

Isn't there a rule about referral links around here somewhere?

The closest there is:

No advertising, links to advertising, Spam Adverts and Trolling (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_%28internet%29) are not allowed (including signatures and websites of rival websites and forums)

I'll report this thread and if the mods think it's inappropriate, I'm fine with that.

Mozy is a great product thats free for 2gb of storage, which is more than enough to backup any multiboxing config I've ever seen.

I think this is fine, if Ellay doesn't, he'll be in shortly to let us know.

As far as I'm concerned, as long as the referrals are kept toned down for outside services (like this) and for stuff like ISBoxer (see zanthor and Ualaa's threads) we're all fine.

Signed up for this last night, hopefully you got credit for the referral. I'm using the free version, 2.5 gigs. I'm pretty impressed with it so far.

If your initials are JF then I should get credit when your initial backup completes.

That's me. The initial backup is done, so must just be pending processing? Do you get credit even though I'm not using the paid version? that would be pretty cool.

I have been using the paid version of Mozy for some time to backup photo's and important files it is a good service. I have a File server and NAS locally that backups everything else including WOW.

Alternatives to MozyHome

Burn a new CD or DVD every Sunday night and store it at your brother-in-law's office.
Pay $200/year for an online backup service that uses old, mediocre software.
Buy a $200 external hard drive and hope your office doesn't burn down.
Do nothing and don't worry about backup. (We suggest closing your eyes, plugging your ears and repeating "I'm in my happy place, I'm in my happy place.")
Run a cron job of rsync, gzip and mcrypt piped over ssh to your friend's server over his DSL line.

I lol'd a little :D

I use Elephant Drive. Something similar. Only because, they allow you to backup map networked drives. At home, I have a little raid 5 terastation, have all my data mapped to it. Mostly for all my digital photography/ digital darkroom. Only down side, think there is a 2gig file limit (unlimited storage). So I manually backup some of my larger PSD files.

What files are you backing up? WTF? \Interface\Addons? Multi-boxing software? Obviously, not WoW since you only have 2gb. :)
