random question about the new lfg:

does that mean a group of say level 10 alliance can get to do RFC (in Ogrimmar) safely ?

Yesterday I tried the non 80 lfg with a random level 54 tank toon I have and somehow ended up in a group with the debuff without ever entering any dungeon (bug? or maybe some party member left before I entered?) so so far I don't know how it works on non 80 dungeons

I'll try to get a team to level 8+ to test this - but if someone already did I'm curious about the outcome

Checked this out yesterday on my team and since I don't have WotLK on my slaves, the box popped up showing which team members are not eligible to inter the dungeons, so using the 'Join as Party' option will not work obviously. Also showed a lock icon on the dungeons my team has not been 'attuned' to in order to gain entry, such as the Black Maross, or however you spell it. Sucks that it only shows instances within a 9-10 level range of your own level, but 69 is not eligible for Kara or any 70+ lvl required lvls :( Quick question tho, can I hit the 'Join as Party' button with my 4 pallies and only run them without looking for a 5th and just instantly teleport to the instance? Or does the LFG deal only work for a full group? Plus, is it possible to use this for oldworld (grey/low level) dungeons? Like RFC, so I don't have to worry about all that traveling/dying/corpse running to get in there?

You won't be able to do RFC at level 10. The bosses in there are lvl 16 so you'll jut end up missing all over the place. I have no clue if alliance can queue for it though.

Carebear or not, its neat that all players can enjoy all of the content.

Not a lot of horde have done Stockades.
Not a lot of alliance have done RFC.
At least not at a level, when it was a challenge to complete.

EQ liked to have entire raid zones, which only 0.10% of the playerbase would experience and clear during that expansion.
The majority of [raiding] guilds on servers, were just getting into end-game zones for the previous expansion, after the leveling stage of the current expansion.
There were 5-8 raiding guilds, across all 50 servers that managed to down the last boss of an expansion, during that expansion.
That is the equivalent of having 99.9% of the player base, not able to clear Hyjal/BT/Sunwell until 75th.

Blizzard is carebear for the entire game.
Addons trivialize so much.
There is a lot less challenge in wow then eq1.

But which game is doing better?
The one which caters to +99% of the player base?
Or the one which caters to less then 1% of the player base?

Haha, yeah, cause we all know how hardcore WoW was when it came out

I take it you never played any of the old MMOs, UO/AC/EQ now that was hardcore.
Heck I remember taking 2 months getting from level 59 to 60 in Everquest..

Every 10 levels, they changed the amount of experience you needed to level up.
The change came at the x5 levels.

So from 25 to 35, you might have needed level cubed x 1.2 x 100.
And from 35 to 45, you might have needed level cubed x 1.3 x 100.

Basically needed 10% of the experience for every level previous, in addition to the new experience for your level, on each hell level.

So 35, 45, 55.. would take 50+ hours of grinding on the best experience stuff to do.
And if you died, you'd lose experience equal to 10-12 hours of leveling time.

WoW isn't that hard core of a game.

I would kill you and take your lunch money in UO even today. You moved to trammel because of me. EQ was carebear. I never said WoW was hardcore, just going from carebear to more carebear.
