Alright,

Using: Keyclone, Jamba

So I'm now level 50 on my 5x ret pally's and life is ok..I've worked through most issues (learning the art of "Interact with target") and now I have some questions:

One screen questions (I am using one monitor):
1. While watching videos I notice that most only use the "mains" screen. I am doing the 80% of my screen for main and other 20% for the other 4 with a lower FR (through keyclone). Is it just the screenshots I'm seeing with only main screen, I think that would be tough with broken follows, collect quests etc OR is there an advantage I dont' know about.
2. From some of the screenshots of 5-mans it looks like that some of you have a healer mod up on your main (that is not a healer)ie: grid/Healbot...are you using that as a gauge and then F-keys for healing macros or can you actually use grid/hb to "push"cast heals from another toon (I doubt this is the case).
3. From one of the Arena vids it has the guy dying on his main and continuing the fight (on his screen) are arenas different than leveling in that respect? OR is there another setup (click to control) for after main dies.

Follow question
1. I've noticed that some of you use more than the 1 sec follow, setup in Jamba (meaning you are more than a sec behind). Is there a reason? How do you nav upstairs and what not..I look like an idiot when it comes to nav and it seems the further behind they are, the worse it is.

As usual, thanks in advance and make no mistake even though I'm level 50 I'm a nubcake.

If you push the Print Screen button, it will make a screenshot of the current window in the wow folder.
But if you open something like Paint, and paste there, you will get all the windows including slaves.
Not sure how to show slaves in a video, if they're on the same monitor as the main.

Quite a few people use IS Boxer, which allows for "repeater regions".
When the mouse is in the region, it broadcasts to other clients.
You can configure which clients get the broadcast.
HKN also has accurate mouse broadcasting, do not believe other boxing software is accurate/fast on this.
With an accurate mouse broadcast, the healer receives the click and heals that target.

Any software can use Grid or the like to target whoever needs a heal.
Click to target, and then hit a hotkey where the healer assists off of the main.
And heals.

Most of the melee types use "Interact With Target" in conjunction with "Click to Move".
You can use arena frames, from Proximo/Gladius to target with, on the main screen.
And then spam your IWT Keybind or whatever dps key you use.

You could as easily switch to a slave toon, unless you have addons you want to use, which are only running on the master.

By not switching, you cannot see if your slave toon is stuck on something, but for the most part this isn't an issue.

Follow is determined in game, by warcraft.
With no latency, it would be almost immediate.
I do not believe you can configure the distance your toon will follow behind another.

You can configure the distance the camera will be.

1. The main screen is usually where you want your attention. The more info you can put on your main about your slaves without hindering your view the better.
2. Alot of us use things like clickboxer or click area and a mouse broadcast so using these addons is the same on our main as our healer. Like I use healbot on my main as click thru then i have hotkeynet broadcast the mouse click over to my healers window to press the same area. It works about 95% of the time. It's rare due to screen size and ratio's that I miss click.
3. Using pip Fraps doesn't always recognize you changing to one of your alts screens. It will just continue to record the main screen so you don't get to see whats happening in the background.

Regarding the jamba follow it depends on how much lag your system gets. Alot of times due to the main's screen size it has a little more video lag than your alts. If you look at your alts on the smaller screen size thats usually a better indicator of how far back they are.

Edit: Lol holy crap Ualaa. You beat me to it hahaha

Dang it Ualaa why have I not clicked all those links in your posts before..I'm going to kinda derail my on thread. So, if I use IS boxer I don't need to use target focus macros on my action bar and can leave the "normal" spell or attack? AND I can switch main to slave at anytime and keep trucking? In my current setup this is not possible.

Now all of my post makes sense if they were using IS boxer.

IS Boxer is definitely a very nice option.

Run the wizard, I'd suggest with the additional steps in that section of my guide.
You end up with a lot of default keymaps made.

Anything you drag onto the 1 through = keys, will have the slave cast their spell on the same keybind, but at your target (automatic FTL is very nice). Do not need macros for this.

PiP swaps are instant. Can sit there and spam the swap keys, it keeps up with your spam easily.

Mouse repeating is amazing too.
You can configure it to turn on for specific spells, and off again once you click the ground.

If you're coming from Keyclone...

Keyclone broadcasts every key, unless you blacklist it.
You can hit pause to disable broadcasts.

IS Boxer can turn on repeater to act like this.
And you can blacklist keys too.
But you'll run with repeater off 99% of the time, for maximum power.
And go with keymaps, which are hotkeys that result in one or more actions for the clients you choose.
You can do slave movement (other windows, without current), to use the arrow keys to move the slaves -- and the movement is in the non-active windows, from any window.

Keymaps take a bit to get used to, but are amazing.
