More in the planning stage at the moment.

When we enter vehicles, by default follow and focus breaks.
Most IS Boxer users take advantage of the auto FTL for assist/follow.
But only /Follow Focus seems reliable...

I'm interested in either a two step Keymap, or two individual Keymaps.

Step 1, or Keymap 1 will:
a) /Focus <Current Toon's Name>. The format has to be /Focus Name.
b) /Follow Focus (all windows, without current).
c) Enable alternate DPS Keys.
d) Disable the FTL DPS Keys.
e) Announce (Pop Up Text), "Vehicle Mode".

Step 2, or Keymap 2 will:
a) Clear Focus
b) Enable the FTL DPS Keys.
c) Disable the alternate DPS Keys.
d) Announce (Pop Up Text), "Normal Mode".

The advantage of two keymaps, is the option to re-click the first Keymap on a leader change.
This then has the other toons follow the new leader, as well as set the new leader to their Focus.

A single keymap with two steps, has only one hotkey to learn.
If we can use the new timing feature, to not advance to step 2 unless the hotkey is pressed in fairly quick succession, then we can press the keymap to change leaders, without ending vehicle mode.

Rather then several Keymaps within General, I'd think a new Keymap category would be the way to go.
That way, we can enable/disable the entire Keymap for FTL DPS Keys and the entire Alternate DPS Keys with two actions.

The alternate DPS Keys will use this syntax:

/assist Focus
/click [target=vehicle,exists] VehicleMenuBarActionButton1

Naturally the hotkey for this Keymap will be 1.

We need to as many Keymaps within the Alternate Keymaps group, as there are possible buttons on vehicles.
Each will basically be the same, except for the action button.

In practice:
a) we get into our vehicles.
b) hit our vehicle hotkey.
c) everyone focuses and follows the active character.
d) any vehicle button pressed, has all the others press the same and auto assist, as we're used to.

Suggestions or comments?

I will say that vehicle following is a problem that I have specifically addressed in ISBoxer, and /follow <name> should work whether you are on a vehicle or not. (ISBoxer Addon overrides the original /follow, adding Jamba integration such as updating the strobe target if you /follow someone else, fixing the vehicle problem, and adding conditional testing for FTL)

I removed any use of Focus from my personal setup some time ago in favor of ISBoxer's simple FTL, and it works as expected in all situations.

The only thing I do when I do vehicles is turn ON my "FTL DPS Keys" map, which is exactly the same as generated from the Quick Setup Wizard. I normally don't have it on, since most of my mappings are set up to my G15's extra buttons. Pretty much any time I have a non-standard action bar for an encounter, all I need to do is turn that on and continue playing as I was before. Vehicles, the DTK boss, etc.

Hope this helps someone :)

Excellent.

That is certainly a lot easier, then creating an alternate set of Focus based keymaps, and toggling one set on and the other off.

IS Boxer rocks!

Was this recently address or fixed in ISBoxer? From time to time I lose follow and can not get them to re-engage using Jamba strobe/follow. It does not happen often but just a few days ago I had this issue with some catapults.

This is because of a bug in wow where you sometimes no longer see other players in vehicles.
