My desktop pc patched wow 3.3 in 5 mins 57 seconds

My laptop in 8 mins 12 seconds

What's your time ? (It shows in the blizz launcher at the end "Patch completed in: X mins Y secs")

(it's probably mostly a disk benchmark, though maybe cpu too)

edit: multiblocs note it includes download time; which makes it useless/random - oh well - post anyway if you have nothing else to do while waiting for realms to come back :-)

It also counts your download time, so really this isnt indicative of anything unless you already had patch downloaded via the background DLer.

oh really, then it's useless - I thought it was just the patching time - sorry - ignore this :-)

I did the initial pre-patch, while playing a week or so ago, in 30 mins or so for the... what was it 500mb or so?

Today's patch was about 5 mins.

It will vary both by your potential download speed, and how quickly blizzard will give you the data. Or their torrent tracker thing. I average 1mb/sec, when downloading torrents the next day, but rarely hit more then 300k/sec the day my tv show airs.

About 5 minutes.

FYI this doesn't tell you jack since it's primarily dependent on transitory network conditions.
