Fastest way to install wow on the new computer? Would shareing the file on my old computer work and I could just transfer from one to computer to the next or is it better to actually install the game and every damn update? /shudders.

You can copy the entire wow directory on whatever media you like (sharing via network, external drive). I actually run my slaves off on an external usb drive. When patch time comes I usually patch that directory first and if it works then I rename my main wow directory and copy over the one from the external drive. No need to install if you have a working wow folder already.

Hi,
I have Just copied the WoW older, and moved to other harddrives, over networks, etc. etc. so many times now I can't even count.
If you have a good up to date WoW install, you should be good to go.

yes copy the wow folder; but first time you run; run the launcher as administrator (or when a patch comes it won't find where to patch - running as admin lets it set some registry key which is used later for patching)

Neat.
A copy will be much faster then an install.
I found installing from the disks and then patching, to be much faster then downloading the current version, without needing to patch, from the account management.
Copying from an external HD will be faster still.
