For elemental that is.

I have yet to get my first lava burst btw, But we might as well put it in.

I normally use something like this...

/cast [target=focustarget] Flame shock, Lightning bolt, Lightning bolt, Lightning bolt, Chain Lightning
/cast Elemental Mastery

Going from memory there of course.

Should w be putting Flame Nova after the first Lightning bolt? ie, Flame shock -> Lightning bolt -> Flame Nova -> etc. etc.

One I hit 75 (two more levels) Will this then work on the sequence?

Flame shock, Lavaburst, Lightning bolt, Flame Nova, Lightning bolt, etc .etc

I put the flame shock down the line just a bit , to give mobs I Flame shock with time to get close enough to use it.

My other concern is Glyphs and timing. How short of a cool down can we get on the New Flame Nova?

Once again, I look to you the masters of the Macro for help. Any suggestions are of course most welcome.

Stephen

A better question:

Will the new patch BE tomorrow?

I use a click castsequence.
It recasts when the cooldown/duration has expired.
It prioritizes earlier spells over later spells, if both are available.
It casts the last spell (as a fall through), if everything else is on cooldown.

My order is: Flame Shock, Lava Burst, Chain Lightning, Lightning Bolt.
I didn't really see anything in the patch notes to change this.

I would manually cast Flame Nova, when we want AoE.
Have not decided yet on untalenting it or leaving the 2 points there.

Hehe, Good point on the patch.

Ualaa, Thanks for the idea, Just keep Flame Nova manual, I like that.

You know, I've been seriously thinking about moving over to the /click type macros, maybe this is as good a time as any to do so.

Anyways, you hit the Chain Lightning then first, before Lightning bolt? I'll have to try that then also.

Another Minor question If you don't mind.

I have made my shamans, JC/BS and at lvl 73, I am pushing around 800 Spellpower. This seems kind of low to me, But I have never leveled a caster to 80 either. What should my goal in SP be to start Heroics as a fresh 80? (Mind you I have lvl 80 ilvl 200 gear set up already for when the ding.

Thanks again all.

Pretty much, ignore your spell power while leveling up.
Until you reach level cap, instances are just a means to level.

Once you hit cap, prioritize hit gear over everything.
Until you reach the hit cap.
Somewhere around 80 hit, for heroics.
A lot more for 25-man content.

Once you are hit capped, I just go for spell power.
But haste is better then crit.
Mana isn't much of an issue, with our talents.
As the gear improves, you can unspec from Convection + Unrelenting Storm for other talent options.

There is a debate on the Chain Lightning.
Some say it doesn't add much DPS on single targets.
Others say that it does.
I believe it adds a little bit over a straight LB for single targets.
And when there are multiples its even better.
I've left it in my "click" all the time.

When I moved to click, I noticed a rather large dps increase.

he isnt refreshing every 2.5 seconds, you add comas in your click macro to stretch it out for the full duration
