Is there a reason y my computer stays cold but my power cable gets so hot i can actually burn myself with it. Is it because im on a smaller surge protector then im suppose to be on. My power supply is 850w so does that mean i deff need to have a surge protector for that rating.

Your power cable should not get hot. Swap it out and see if that helps.
Sounds like it's damaged...possibly dangerously so. If you don't want to have your house burn down, you probably want to buy a new one. Also, the things cost like $0.50 each.

Could it be a PSU problem?

You have had a fair amount of issues with this computer you just bought. You need to pray to the tech gods that nothing else happens.

Nah. Not unless the power supply is already so hot that it's been on fire for a few days. The fact that it's getting that hot means that it's dissipating substantial power, which means that it has significant resistance per unit length, which a cable should not if it's intact.

Once things start catching on fire, it's too late for pretty much everything other than the mass ritual sacrifice of babies.

Nah its cause i was dumb lol. Everything is fine now first problem never let the wife near your toys. Got it in the mail they forgot to send disks she decides to piss me off and hit restart as win7 is setting up. Get disks boot from cd drive get it all working. Then didnt realize you have to know contact microsoft to verify win7 did that. Got everything dl just put stuff in the 86 program file since i didnt know what that was. Other then that this computer is nice and a beast. Just gonna let them know they need to send me a non faulty power cable.

Install an ID10T as the operator, throw PEBKAC errors. I think we went over this already elsewhere? ;)

In AV? Sounds like you're already getting your ass handed to you by your boss, if you're not self-employed. If you're working for yourself, I guess I could understand 6x12.
