Start up their own guild and call it Azeroth Catering. People in AV and WG would love your team :D

I had a blast with 7 mages and 2 shaman in AV. Fire spec and cast living bombs on everyone, no cooldown cept global, 46 yards, instant cast, and of course they stack ......

Wait, what? You finally got something high enough level to get into AV? Grats!

5 mages. Mirror Image gives you 3 copies per mage, and a 4th one with the appropriate glyph. So that's 25 in total here.

I went to AV yesterday evening. Quite fun. Nice little confusion amongst the horde.
My teams dies stupidly easily, though. So fast that no healing would help. They are just wearing the level 78 crafted set for now, it should get better with a bit of gear.

Are you killing stuff fast?

I was considering going 4 mages and a priest at some point.... but im thinking they might be too squeezy....

Yah, mages are fun. That's for sure. They do go down fast. Mage survivability relies heavily on crowd control stuff, and that's just too hard for me to box.

I mainly wanted to goof around in town as mages and have free food/water for all my teams, so that may be about as much as I ever do with them.

I may take them into heroics to get some gear at some point, but I'm not positive.

Seldum : Yes, hordies go down surprisingly easily. I remember this Tauren warrior with a GearScore close to 5000 (which must mean quite a few life points) basically went down in just Arcane Barrage x 5 and Arcane Missile x 5, even though my team is way under geared now.

Ridere : I agree with you, I don't think I will be able to pull out the micro-management necessary to actually survive anything. My PVP will be basically long distance snipping until I get gear, and then pure burst damage.

Don't forget arcane explosion spam ^^
Though for that a hybrid spec with ice barrier from frost might help you last longer.

Don't forget the flame DoTs, those are always lovely to see. Even if they do kill you before they go down, chances are they won't last much longer while running around with their asses on fire :D

I like to pop this emote at times too:

"Roll around. You'll be aight."

It's a line by Eddie Griffin from the movie The New Guy.

haha nice comment.

I would think something like frost nova on roundrobin would be nice to keep the distance between you and your enemies.

My mages were flame specced for the Living Bomb, Dragon's Breath and such. Those are fun to play around with.

I also worked in an AoE round robin, that had four mages cast Arcane Explosion, and one cast Blast Wave. And it'd just cycle through each of the five mages. If I held a modifier down, all five would use Arcane Explosion.

Also, guarding towers in AV is fun as a mage team. Especially guarding horde towers. They enter the tent and bam, five dragon's breaths, followed by five cone of colds and then some arcane explosions.

That's pretty fun, but the mages are so squishy still.
