My server is sooo dead. I spent 17 hrs yesterday in Icecrown and Saw 5 people.... yes thats right 5! 2 of which were horde. That being said my friends just started playing again but they are on a different server (when they started I wasnt playing) So now the question is do I do a Xfer 6 chracters 50 bucks a piece... 300 bucks or do i suck it up.. I mean it sucks not having people to play with even though im boxing... Just what do you think?

i thought it was less then 50 bucks like 30 or something. Transfer to a better server is what i would do anyways that way u can play with friends and have some kind of ineraction. Also ah prices will be less with more people.

30 for faction change and 20 or 25 for server change... Its something along those lines... I mean obviously in the grand scheme of things... its 300 bucks and while that is a decent chunk of change. I think i would have more fun on a server where people actually do shit... But who knows. Plus gives me a chance to check out a bunch of different quests alliance side and some other nice things.
How do flight paths work when you do a server faction change? do you loose them all any type of faction change would be pretty awesome as I know literally nothing about this crap..

or the third option, start fresh, start up a new team on the new server and level them up, dunno if you are willing to do that but i love the grind personally.

No, Server transfer is $25, faction change is $30.

I honestly believe I would rather kill myself.... Ok not really cause I dont want yall to put me on suicide watch =P But ya I just cant do that again. I loathe the grind... However its totally different quests new zones new things to do.... But uhh ya I think ill pass on that..
Do i have to server change first and then do faction change or visa versa or can I do both at the same time... Also do i get to pick what he will look like? Soooo many questions =P

The server transfer just moves you.
The faction change lets you pick the race and appearance.
Not sure on how long between each you need to wait.
It was a couple hours or less for transfers.
There's a 3 day lock out until you can re-transfer.
I would personally move to the new server, if I was sure my friends were going to be in game for an extended time.
Not much point, if they will quit again in 3 weeks when they go back to university or whatever.
Still, your existing realm sounds dead, so that means no economy to buy what you need etc.
So a move somewhere is probably a decent idea.
I would liquidate anything which can be sold, and is not useful to your team.
Don't go and get rid of your gear on the other toons, you might want them at some point.
Get all the gold you can manage onto one toon.
Pick the most geared of your toons.
Unless you have one with all achievements or something else as a consideration.
Server transfer (and faction if need be) this one toon.
You already have five accounts.
Presumably Classic + Burning Crusade + Wrath of the Lich King for each.
And you have one toon on the new server, with a decent amount of gold.
I would purchase four vanilla copies of warcraft.
The basic game, not battlechests.
Send yourself RAF links from two of the other accounts.
Do not send the link from the account with the transferred toon.
Use the existing toon, to "boost" your four new toons.
That is two toons on existing accounts, which did not server transfer.
These will be toons you are keeping beyond 60th.
And two toons on the "vanilla wow" RAF accounts.
The vanilla accounts can be Orcs or Dwarves, or something equally generic.
I would probably RAF boost, 2 (or 4) sets of toons to 60th.
Which then gets you one (or two) extra level 60, from granted levels on your existing (already upgraded) accounts.
Then repeat the process, but with the other two already upgraded accounts.
And the remaining two vanilla (disposable) RAF accounts.
You will end up with 3 or 6 toons, on BCDE at 60th.
And 1 toon on A, at 80th with a bit of gold etc.
The 80 can continue to boost the other toons.
Or you could transfer characters around.
Or even transfer others from the other server here too.
In the meantime, you can one-box with your friends on their server.

Pay your friends to transfer to your server. At least it will be cheaper.
I face a similar dilemma where I know people IRL that play on different servers and factions. I contemplated moving my team so I could start to actually raid with some friends, but I could not justify spending the $300 to do so. Maybe if I played super hardcore, but I don't.

My friends keep server hopping every 6 months or so which is cheap for them as they only transfer their mains. I am definitely not transferring 10+ characters so I just rolled a DK team on their server for some fun together.

Y'all continue to tempt me. But I still can't afford to transfer 60 characters.
