So I am just playing around with 5x DKs for fun and doing some instances in BC and AV and started thinking about healing.

Rune Tap (http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=48982) - 1x Blood = 10% of max health every 60s
Improved Rune Tap (http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=49489) - 1x Blood = 20% of max health every 30s
Glyph of Rune Tap (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=43825) - 1x Blood = 22% of max health and 10% AoE every 30s

So if all 5 DKs use Rune Tap at the same time then it is a 62% group heal for the cost of 1 Blood rune every 30s.

Improved Blood Presence (http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=50371) - additional 10% from all healing

Vampiric Blood (http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=55233) - 15% HP added 35% increased healing for 10s on 2m cooldown for 1 Blood. Nice to pop before a Rune Tap but that means 2x Blood runes so probably need some Death Runes up.

If my calculations are correct with all of the above you will heal close to 90% with a Vampiric Blood + Rune Tap combo.

Death Strike (http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=49924) - 5% healing per disease, assume 2 = 10% for 1 Frost, 1 Unholy
Improved Death Strike (http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=62908) - another 5% for a total of 15% per Death Strike

That is a lot of healing on demand, without factoring in the Bloodworms, just have to manage the Blood runes carefully.

Any thoughts?

I'll be damned, I started a DK group yesterday to test out the auto interact, which is amazing.

I havent really tried anything myself, but I think your Theory Crafting is right. Plus, add in the healing of blood aura in general, which is 4% of your damage, plus the 6% of hp healed after every kill with vendetta and you do have a very strong, helaing based build.

Even if you don;t activate, vampiric Blood you still recieve 11%, from rune tap, 11% from imp rune tap 10% from rune tap AoE, time four, plus the 10%heal increase of imp blood aura, so it's 68.2 % without vampiric blood.

With vampiric blood, and increase of 35%, you get a whopping 92.07% of your hp recieved back. Really, if you activate this you team is gonna be at full health, anything lower than 10% this isnt true for but you will probably use this before that, also you can indeed macro it because Vampiric blood is NOT affected by the GDC as far as I know. Generally It could be awesome for pvp. Combined with Mark of blood on an enemy you could probably use this and that to stay at full health for a good 10 seconds while you beat your opponent down. Or chain it if your going up against a single, slow hitting, high hp enemy like a tank.

That 68.2% every 30s sounds very sexy.

Have you tested, to see that everything stacks as it appears?

Five DK's could pass around around threat, if you were careful.
And with the heals every 30 seconds, should be able to clear just about any 5-man content.

It works as suspected. I easily cleared Underbog with only 1 death, the hunter aimed shot for 5K and then melee attacked for 2K and basically 2 shot one of my guys otherwise it would have been flawless.

With a Vampiric Blood popped I healed for more than 100% of my normal hp (without the VB bonus) when all 5 rune tapped. So I've got 1 big heal every 30s lol, dunno if that will be enough for Northrend bosses.

I had this group from 3.0 to 3.1 and one thing that will annoy you is that the gear now is really good so your tank wont take much damage from melee. However your dps will probably die to AEs before 30secs is up. I ended up dropping one dk and using a druid to heal. It just happened too often that my dps was taking too much damage to last 30secs in between heals. Mark wont help the other DKs =(

edit: however with todays level of gear inflation, it might not matter. The DPS DKs might hit hard enough that the heals they get back will sustain them through most boss AoEs. Two bosses I know you will have trouble with is The Drakkari Collossus and Ionar. Also come 3.3, there is a boss that has a nasty 9k health per second poison he drops on the ground, so good luck with that. You probably have to tank/dps and strafe at the same time to take him out.
