Thinking of fixing up my gold making guide for multi-boxers

I wrote one for another message board that got lots of praise...but also lots of negativity. Anyways... i was considering re-writing some of it and adding multi-box friendly portions in which can show people how to become "wow millionares" relatively quickly and easily with little time required per day with many alternatives that net similar profits as to not become a grind every day to make money.

I know some boxers state that "money isn't a problem" but if someone wants to help guildies, or create a guild or just help friends... extra gold is always good to have.

I know these strategies work as i used them for a 3 week period and obtained over 500,000 in game gold. There were no illegal things used to do so just common sense, simple math and basic market understandings.

At the time i did this as a solo farmer... so the idea that you can make much more on a group is more than possible.

Also word of advice... don't piss off GM's in guilds that own your server's economy... and don't let friends use your accounts... ever.

Can never have too much gold; never know when a new team will catch your eye, and you'll have a lot of skill, flyer, cold flyer, gearing expenses etc.

We are. We can pick out a fellow Rhode Islanduh in a crowd. I moved all the way to Ft. Lauderdale to get away from Rhode Islanders, and what's the first thing I do? Hook up with the only Rhode Islander in a 3 county radius.

Are you going to make some sort of purchase fee for your guide like most people do... because to me thats basically the same as buying gold.

Do your dailies, i just hit over 100k gold again. 16 lv 80s, all with epic fliers, one team in full t9 (lol repair bill). It's not hard making money. Work on selling enchant mats you get from running instances, if you don't need emblems turn them into epic gems. Every color epic gem on my server sells for over 100g each. Also if your a tailor, spec them all spellweave because that also sells for a ton.

It's just effective methods to make money with all professions, and then two by two comparisons.
How to effectively play the AH, corner markets...own them etc.
Among other things.

It's a bit outdated. So i might have to wait a bit to update it for the new economies.


Also i own EVERY guide that costs money... most of them were given to me. So i will not be charging for the information and it will be posted on here for free.

I hate spending money or anything that deals with money unless i get something well worth it and know its gonna last. I had my first car and 89 ford ranger when i was 16 in the mid 90's and didnt get rid of it till about 3 years ago. I discussed it while getting my keyclone license switched with him...

My methods work so well they ended up getting me banned before. Not that they are illegal... i just pissed the wrong person off on the wrong server (they were a GM) and since blizzard can suspend or terminate service for any reason they want based on their TOS... Yep.

So i'll write up a bunch of things and i will constantly update it if AL or any other mod will sticky it for me.

If I was going to pick a community that needed gold making guides this would not be one of them. Gold is so easy to make its laughable for mutiboxers. Normally boxers have multiple professions example- x5 alch transmute. Get lucky and could get 20 epic gems off of 5. I mean really who needs more than 150k(me) and I have never done dalies more than a couple of times. I dont run alot of instances either and I have never farmed anything.I know there are alot of boxers here who have way more than I do.


Edit: I mean shit, its takes 24-48 hours to make 10k profit if you have a small bank roll(5-10k) and 30 min of time playing the AH. Its even easier if your on a server where the faction imbalance is atleast .5/1 Its basic economics "supply and demand" once faction usually has it and the other side doesn't and vice versa. Dont need a guide for that. Tip-put your auctions up on Tuesdays for max profit

The guide is already written, and very derogatory because it was basically be telling people basic things. But theres some deepness to it. Just need to clean it up. Seriously it does not hurt to do so and could benefit some people.

It does not hurt at all. However, I would advise on anyone trying to corner a market. If its an item that sells alot gems etc. then you will be undercut before you try to resell the first one. I was sitting with 160 scarlet rubies when I tried to "corner" that market pre epic gems. It was so frustrating that I vendored most of them. This was before I found my secret to riches that I let go in my first post.

Heh, I remember controlling the netherweave bag market for a while on my server in BC, cause so many people were posting the cloth for less than the heavy bandages could be vendored for, made huge profits making bags out of it all. At most I was making maybe 100 bags a day, heh. Took a while before people realized how ridiculously cheap they were selling their cloth. Even with my huge profit margin at the time, I was selling the bags for way less than anyone else. ^^

Your talking about making 20,000+ gold a day consistantly. I do well on the AH and with dailies on 10 toons but that is alot of gold per day to make and to be able to do it every day seems kinda off.

When you change the price of infinite dust from 60g per stack to 75 per stack as well as all other essential items prices increasing... it's hard not to have thousands pour in.

Also the whole idea of investing to make money. I made about 5-10 grand a day profit off of having people mail me their herbs for card making... thats not including any AH playing or other means.

So umm yea make stuff and sell it and then dude buy stuff and put it up at a higher price and umm buy herbs to make a ton of cards hoping to get lucky with nobles(6 months ago) I be damned if there isnt alot of farming in every guide.

I originally wrote the guide because i was asked how i broke gold cap. So i threw it together. Like i said there really is nothing new there. Thus why i'm expanding and re-writing it. If people would rather me not do so, and not think of new ways to make money for people with multiple characters then i'm fine with not fixing it up.

The things you quoted, are legitimate ways of making money... though they may not be for those who like to help everyone and their mother out.

If you're going to update your guide for boxers and post it here, I'm sure it will be welcomed by many.

The only other thing I would add is that the D-B community are definitely not a bunch of 10-15 year olds, so post accordingly, stick to the rules (http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=1518) and you'll be fine.

If say... all your toons have their secondary profession as tailoring. This means every 2 weeks you are able to make...assuming 5 boxing.

25x shadow cloth
25x mooncloth

This means for two weeks you make a profit of... 100 x the price of cloth, most servers is approximately 80 gold per. That's an extra 8,000 gold per week for basically nothing as the materials would take you about 2 hours to get.

If you did this combined with mining (yes i know its a pain in the ass to level) you would get

100x cloth (approximately 80 gold per)
70x titansteel (last time i was on these were 80 gold per as well)

so for two weeks worth of time without really farming all that much for materials. you cold effectively earn 13600 gold per 2 weeks. Not including dailies... Which would be an extra 1000 per day..considering dailies take ~ 1.5 hours to complete. You're looking at a total of about 27600 gold every 2 weeks, with no other income other than these two professions and dailies.

If you say had 3 teams worth of characters that had those professions and the dailies were done every day (yes, i know we're getting into no life now... but this would be purely for gold)

that would be 82800.

So that means that in 1.5 months you reach gold cap. This isn't including many many things that could also bring in money.

So for you to make 82800 gold from farming TOC and DEing all the crystals while not killing the market... would take approximately 83 hours... or 3.4 days played time.

Technically JC could make much more money on a day to day basis than mining because...
The bag may contain epic gems + dragon's eyes.
You are normally gauranteed about 75-100 gold as is from the satchel. Plus each character gets an extra 11 gold every day for that daily. So... This turns out to add an extra 50 gold per day, over 14 days is another 700 gold.

So you make 375-500 + 50g per day or so. So that equals out to approximately 487 gold per day from that profession. Opposed to 400. So nearly 100 extra gold. Is it worth it? Doubtful... but if you say get 5 epic gems + 3 dragons eyes on your toons some days... that can bring in some significant extra money where the price for titansteel is always pretty much stagnant. But theres no telling what kind of cooldowns there will be in CATA. this is just talking about the next year.

Alchemy as transmutation master combined with JC could actually be very good as well to make money but also costly to level to the point where you can make the gems... but would it be worth it? That is 1 ruby per day... so that is about 750g per day

So if you were to abuse these professions for approximately 8 months you could easily break 3/4 of a million gold. If you invested much of the money into the AH and cornered market you could turn that 3/4 a million into 2 million easily.

And at the same time, levelling up my instance team so I can also go grinding hc's :D
