I was thinking about my plan of using a Druid Tank as main + 4xElemental Shaman.

But shapeshifted Druids don't benefit from any of the weapon enhancement totems! (I don't think, anyways) Like Windfury, Flametongue, etc...

I only wanted my 5th as a Druid becuase I wanted an OP healing class to 2v2 with when the whole lot made it to 70.

I'm just having second thoughts now about the druid....

Any input is helpful, thanks!

Yeah, the variety of totems you can drop with 4 shamans outweighs the tank not getting WF.

Spec one of the shamans an off 41/12/9 or something to get Enhancing totems and your bear will get love from the buffed Str and Agi totems.

WF is a very small price to pay for the utility of a feral druid in your group. I have a druid as well but currently leveling 5 shamans, im sure there will be a number of ocassions where I will use him to tank for them. And yes boomkin is also ftw. imagines, 4x wrath of air + boomkin aura. oh crits how I love thee.

Cool, excellent response.

I'll find your thread somewhere, but I think you basically made my mind up for me:

Resto Druid

Another plus is I think it will be much easier to play a non-tanking/melee main period while playing ranged Alts.

The only issue with playing the druid as the main is positioning with the Shaman, but in my short experience, I don't see that as being a problem.

Thanks!

With a Feral druid tanking, you've got the same healing issues. 25% - 100% of your dps stops to heal. Sure, you could respec one restro to heal, or just make one heal (we do this on some bosses with the prot pally), and you're losing a serious chunk of your DPS.

Doesn't a "normal" group lose 1/5 of their dps to healing and 1/5 of their dps to tanking? I don't see this as an issue.

I pasted my shaman macros for healing in this thread (http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums2/viewtopic.php?t=3003), but essentially each of my healing buttons will trigger 2 shaman to heal at any given time. This leaves the other 2 to dps.

Furthermore, how much healing are you going to have to do on a bear druid that is getting agi totem, has imp Leader of the Pack, and a bunch of healing stream totems? That's even better mitigation than my pally.

Last but not least, bears have a larger health pool than pallies and warriors, which gives you more "leniency" when it comes to how much reaction time you have before you have to heal. They don't have shields, sure, but bears dodge makes up for it, and shammies help with agi totem.

Anyway, just lending my 2 cents.

i chose this same lineup, the 4 powerpacked shamans with the +5crit bonus would be crazy. Ive also seen videos on balance druids tanking gruul's, so they arent so squishy in moonkin form.
The videos ive watched of past players shows that with elemental totems there isnt alot of need for tanks and healers and flat dps works well. Im not going to spec any kind of -theat talents for my druid, but i will for the shamans. Just so i can organise my agro a bit better if there is need.
Also I am going to downrank all my heals and have the 4xshamans healing the moonkin to full and the cheapest possible mana with little overhealing.
Have one of your shamans spec 41 in elemental and the others with 40 elemental and 21 resto for natures swiftness, its great pve/pvp burst damage to have those 3 with NS. And totem of wrath doesnt stack.
Thats my plan once i hit 70, time will tell weather im prepared or not.

I also chose this exact setup for my second group. I haven't actually leveled them very far.. but it seems like a great setup to me.
