I was reported this morning so I took a screenshot of it to bring here as it makes me lol. Then as I was looking for it I found an old screen shot from when I was talking to a gm about multiboxing. Sorry if these post big, I've never posted a pic here before.

Bit small for me to read but good posts. Many GMs do multibox and many flammers/haters don't know that. I'd love to see one GM pop up one day that's multiboxing to address a report in person with all their toons decked out. THAT would be a screenshot worth bragging about. Hmmmmm *lightbulb* :D

On a sidenote, I wonder if people who say 'reported asshole', 'reported you fucking cheater', 'etc ...' are violating the TOS (griefing, harassment, ...)? And if they could reported back. :P

Well you can actually report them if they use bad language. I did one time in TBC and the grefing just continued on another account from there part.. :P I was using "spam me not" and had set the lvl to 5 to be able to whisper me. After totally destroying the other team in EotS (the only bg i did that day, was testing some macros) i got a whisper from a lvl 5 claiming he reported me. Calling me everything from stupid homo to ass raper. (in other words abuse) I reported him just to see what happend. 2h later i get another tell from another lvl 5 telling me that i was immature for reporting him and he actually apologized even though he got a 72h ban. But he was still talking shit about the fact that multiboxing was not fare play ect.

Really amusing actually. That was my first encounter of nerd rage.
I use to have screenshots about that but cant seem to find it. i will check my other pc and if i find them i will /edit this post. ;)

yeah true that, he shouldn't have called you stupid :D
j/k

But yeah I've noticed that arguing with people about boxing being fair or not is to no avail. I'm not the kind of person that gets offended by words over the internet though, so reporting ain't really my cup of tea. Maybe even just cause I'm too lazy to bother.

But in the end, how people respond to you is often a result of how you talk to them. Except for the born retards of course. All in all it's not too bad on my server so far.

Yeah you know, I've boxed on Blade's Edge server for about a year and a few months now and have always had good response. Very few flames. Now that group was my pally, three elemental shaman and resto druid. Different races and sexes. Maybe ppl didn't realized they were all together.

Now with my three tauren and two orc dk's they catch alot of hate on my server and my battlegroup. One because I'm boxing or two because they're dks. Lol. Now, I also get alot of ppl asking how I do it or telling me it's cool. So far it's kinda evened out.

Foul language is not a violation of the terms of service.
Unless you have the language filter enabled, and they have found some way to circumvent it.

In France, some kinds of discriminations are illegal. Not in terms of TOS, I mean in terms of law. So I always make sure to report anything racist of homophobic, knowing that Blizzard *has to* do something about it, even if it is only a warning.
Well, it really does not happen very often. I was confronted to that kind of behaviour maybe 2 or 3 times in all my time in WoW.

This always puts a smile on my face (as long as they don't get insulting/vulgar). They are usually like: "I reported you!"
"Ticket is out!" and I go then like "Whatever... Do as you please" after I told them something along the lines "It's called multiboxing, google for it, go to dual-boxing.com for more info... and yes Blizz allows it, it's not against the TOS"...

I must have had quite a few reports by now, but I never have been bothered by any GM (not even this sort of check/inquiry for boting). Nothing. Nada. So I am rather amused (yet polite) by now with such encounters

Profanity whether its masked or not is against the rules.

I'm assuming you guys are talking about profanity and not just being rude. Haven't really read the full thread :P

HAHA - this is just what i was looking for - New multi-boxer and I just reached level 15 with my first 2 toons. Its a hunter/warrior combo that im using just to see how i like boxing - I was in maybe my 3rd RFC run and i will admit i move a bit slow with my warrior tanking and someone usually starts to pull mobs. I usually say on my warrior that i am new to the game and tanking just to avoid any issues people may have with boxing, but this one rogue was very vulgar and finally i told him to chill im playing the hunter too. his next reply was "reported"
Now I didnt know for sure at the time but i came back with "G4U its not against ToS - why would it be?"
he thought it was an unfair advantage... i just laughed - multi-boxing seems not only to take more patience, but more skill then playing one toon (and I only play 2 toons!!) He became quite a nuisance after a while so i started typing speech on my main (which instantly repeats w/e i /p on my slave) he actually tried to vote me off haha - right before the boss the healer voted him off and we 4 manned it -- or i guess 3 manned it lol.

So to those of you who play crazy numbers of toons at once, even in the face of nerdraging adversity, hats off to you.
And those of you who QQ at multi-boxing --- getlernd

There are few things more satisfying than adding them to your friends list, so you can spot them more easily around town, and do 5x /waves at them.

That. Is. Awesome. Not sure why it never occurred to me before.

On a semi related note I wonder what the haters would think of this (attached)

They would probably wonder why you are turtling so early in the game :p
