Please list what mats you think are going to be the most valuable come patch week.

I'd like to try to make as much as I can. The last couple of patches I was involved in leveling and didn't have the cash to invest.

Thanks to all.

Materials to transmute titanium bars since the cooldown is being taken off it and you can prolly sell a lot before the price goes down.

yup titanium xmutes would probably fetch a pretty penny.

Saronite for Ti mute (hope everyone has a transmute master in their herd), pre made armor vellums (+10 to chest should sell well when everyone starts getting new gear). Also for anyone with engineers, there are new ammo patterns with the new faction Ashen Verdict (could net some money if you can boost your rep to honored fast enough, cheap mats for these it appears).

Look up Shatter Rounds and Iceblade Arrows on MMO or Wowhead. I can't seem to link from the Wowhead PTR site.

Crusader Orb patterns seemed to be dropping in price, I picked up a number of them today. After ICC hits you will see a dramatic drop in ToC patterns, just like the Uld stuff stop showing up when 3.2 hit. If your like me and have way too many toons, some of the high end craftables are still worth it. If i had only one team I would not bother as the badge gear is faster to get.

Basically anything required for gemming, enchanting and crafting high end gear (e.g., eternals).

However, I have a feeling there won't be large increase in demand for much as the majority of players are currently still getting new gear, so the demand is there now. Not sure how ICC will increase this by much unless the number of players that "come back" are substantial.

Once people start getting gear in the new Icecrown raid, they will all need it gemmed and enchanted. And with the badge upgrades, regular heroic farmers will be able to get Tier 9 slowly but surely. And the Arena season is overdue for a refresh, and that usually means that current gear with rating requirement will be purchasable with just honor and/or arena points, and the high end stuff will be replaced.... (you see where this is going) Nearly everyone who is maxed on gear/enchants now will be getting upgrades in the next patch, so there will be a HUGE market for mats to enhance these new items. The right timing will be essential. Wait until the AH runs dry of a hot item, then list a lot of em with an insanely high price and watch the gold come in.

I have about 4000 Saronite Bars ready for Ti Transmute and 20+ of every epic gem. Bit low on Enchanting Materials other than Infinite Dust - I just cnat offload that stuff fast enough and it clogging up my bank. :(

Titanium is risky, unless there's a lot of new recipes for new gear/armor/JC patterns in ICC. The word is that Saronite is going to be in big demand - I forget now what for, the guys on the Instance Podcast were discussing it.

The only profit I see from titanium is from the powder, because of all of the players who will want to finish up getting their JC cuts, and selling the gems. Every player with a titansteel cooldown is now going to be able to make it at will, and the market will be flooded - so sell the eternals they'll need to make the bars, let them list the bars for weeks as they get moldy on the AH.

Gems will sell. I'm stockpiling, I want to make some gold on my stockpiled mats now, since I'm shutting things down for a while. I just want a little taste, no need to be greedy.

Arctic Fur is going to be sold by the vendor, so those will drop in price. Dump 'em now.

Flasks will be in HUGE demand for the first couple of weeks, as raiding groups who have been idle since clearing ToC are going to be jumping back into the game. Herbs will probably spike for a while, too.

Raid food will sell. Stock up on that salmon.

Enchants will sell, as will mats. My personal hunch is that abyss crystals will drop in value, then rise as fewer people run ToC to get them. I'm really torn on buying ToC patterns for my tailor now, as they will probably become more rare once ToC is abandoned.

Belt buckles, and possibly shield spikes and such, are probably a good idea, along with cloak enchants and threads.

Tailors should be using their cooldowns and stockpiling the specialty cloth, if there's any new patterns dropping. I havent seen any mention of them, yet. It'll sell anyway. Mooncloth is a good moneymaker right now, because of the ToC patterns.

Crusader orbs, bad buy. They're going to plummet in price. That's my dilemma - spend the 3k on a tailoring pattern now, buy the mats (orbs) later for cheap? Or will they both be?

Inscriptions will sell, go over to Elitist Jerks and see what glyph changes they're recommending with the class changes, and make lots of them.

From what I see, there's new drops to farm in ICC, for the legendary axe - if they're not soulbound, farm them as hard as you can, they'll be very valuable.

The new drums for leatherworkers might sell.

Beyond that, who knows?

There's more money to made from the next PvP season, enchants and gems and buckles. Stockpile 'em.

If I were still going to be playing between now and the release of Cata, I would be farming low content for weeks and stockpiling EVERYTHING, as there is going to be a flood of goblins and worgen looking to powerlevel professions and everything else. Granted, they'll be running it, too, but you know at least half of them will buy their way up to 85. If I were going to be around, I was thinking the other day, I would start a new guild bank, and buy a couple slots, and pack it with as much of the good 1-70 stuff as possible - rep stuff, gems, ore, bars, leather, cloth, shards, powders, and enchants, like Fiery and Crusader and Mongoose, along with as much good gear as I could make, and the best BoE from instances. The first 3 months of Cata will be a selling opportunity unlike Wrath and BC. (Wrath was good for all the DKs leveling at first, it's what drove lower ores up high).

Anyway, that's my thoughts. I've been around since vanilla, these things tend to be the same every time. There's a ton of money to be made, but you have to really think about it. Titansteel seems like the money maker, but I'm betting it drops to ridiculously low prices, because everyone that can make it, will - and lots of it. People won't be looking to make stuff until the new patterns drop, and even then, will it be as good as the trash drops and boss drops? If there's new epic patterns for titansteel, then cool, but I don't recall any mention in the patch notes.

Some of the recipes are obtained from the Ashen Verdict rep:

Not sure about dropped recipes.

Yes but a single charcter can only transmute a single titansteel per day, the cooldown is onyl removed on titanium as far as i'm aware.

Transmuting without cooldown saronite (8 bars) to titanium without limit will mean a market flooded with Titanium bars

Looking at the Ashen Verdict rep recipes, I am sure the price for eternals will skyrocket since you need so many of them.
