I so wish I would of RAF these paladins I got going on. At lvl 52 and just hating life even though I'm powerleveling with my DK. I can only stomach an hour and maybe a little more of a session before I have to stop. At 58 I'm just going to level the normal way I think that'll be better.

This is just me venting but playing wow is only fun when multiboxing, and I need to box it up!

Welcome back (part3? lol).

Give AV leveling a try - my guildies seem to like it.

AV leveling is terribly slow until you hit 71+ bracket :(
i've heard they are fixing that next patch, we'll see.

I am actually enjoying levelling up my team normally...

Yes I have done it to at least level 50 at least 6 times... but I am enjoying getting away from the normal path I took with my other toons and I am doing a few areas that I havent done since my very first toon...

I may get into PvP stuff later on, but considering that this is an instance team I am building, I am not overly worried about pvp :)

Ya, at 58 I'm deleting my sorta geared tank DK and making a fresh one so I can level up through the normal process. Mindlessly running through LBRS aoe killing everything just makes me sleepy :(

Actually I was doing a level in 1:30h in the 60-69 bracket (might be because my rogues just own in AV capping dun baldar :p)

Currently, the XP in AV for the 60's bracket is pretty bad.....and then you will deal against people who have northrend quest gear. My lvl63, 4 druid team with outland quest gear got destroyed pretty easily by single players. I am still learning to play boxed druids, but that is besides the point. :)

Now, the 70s bracket is a whole different story.....I think XP is still decent there.

I'm going to have to agree with you there Ellay, that powerleveling 4 toons is boring as hell. I think you made the right decision in restarting a DK to level up with your team.

Aye, my issue is that I am already thinking about end game/80/pvp before I have even thought of names.... I dont think I could lvl without raf. 60-80 is more than enough leveling for me. Call me raf spoiled.

I enjoy getting my new pally team up (with booster and raf) - yesterday I got the stratholme achievement for the first time(*) and it was fun to get surprised and die a few times (pallies are now 49) - I dread the 71-80 grind though - I look forward to do 60-71 in outland with flying mounts starting at 60

Though I remember last year when my first raf ended I swore myself I would never ever redo 1-60 again as I was burned out getting a bunch of toon there - but as time passed; and the opportunity to reroll on a new server with other boxers for guild chat company and more (KJ) - it's fun again !

*: my first wow toon hit 60 about when BC came out so I never got to do stratholme fully before - there are a few more old world instance I want to visit - calling it wow tourism

Why would you delete the geared one?? Just make a new one, level them all together and then reintroduce the geared one back into group at 80.

I just started doing RaF again. I got in on the black friday deal and bought 4 vanilla wows @ 5 bucks each. i linked them to four of my main accounts so i have to level 2 teams until 60. I just finished my 1st half of teams to 61 (2 Pals & 2 rogues) and now working on second half. Once my second teams hits 60, i am ditching the vanilla accounts and going to just use the lvl 61's i have on my 4 main accounts.

Main a + Main b + vanilla a + vanilla b = team 1
Main c + Main d + vanilla c + vanilla d = team 2
@ 60 ditch the vanillas and only have main a + b + c + d

It was cheaper doing this than transferring. $20 total vs $20 per character.

Not sure how geared he means.

Anyway, welcome back Ellay, good to see you again :)

Made some pallies myself the other day, figured I'd try it too, but I think my main focus will still be to do pve with my multiclass team since they are so good at it :)

Thanks :) I don't get to play as much as I used to, but that's why multiboxing is awesome. I'm just envisioning right now being able to log in and do any instance at 80. Even with 4 Shamans doing a heroic still required to find a tank.

Eeep. Just when you think you've gotten away, it pulls you back in.

I picked up 5 of the Black Friday $5 copies, but I haven't decided when to use them. I'll prolly level up my 70 pally who is collecting dust and use her to boost groups of four. The plan that uses the RaF accounts to level characters on the main accounts sounds good, I'll have to look into that so I don't have to deal with the 90 transfer block on new battle.net accounts.

Now all I need to do is decide what groups to level and what server. I'm in Florida now so all my pings are messed up ;(

Ellay are you seriously on Gorefiend Horde side? I've been boxing there for almost 2 years now lol. I moved my Retadins from Horde to Alliance for the honor grind but they're coming right back after another few pieces of gear.

That must be painful. I'm using RAF, for the 4th time now (once for my friends).... and I can barely do it. I don't ever get instance lockout anymore because I can't even get through 5 runs before I have to take a break for several hours... haha.

You know from 58-68 you can do Underbog... but that would be pretty grueling. A paladin can single pull it, with a lot of tricks and gimmicks. With double heirlooms its pretty fast though. 10 min pull, 1/3 of a level. But it's not like SM where you can do it with your eyes closed.

I'd go 55-60 in Ramparts.

With a moderately geared Prot Paladin (mix of heroics, badges, ulduar 25 and ToC AH stuff), I boosted 3 teams for my roommate in there, 55-60 (RAF) in a day.

Just kind of ran along killing things, with him looting behind me.

At 60th, move to Underbog.

I only got into wow since TBC came out... so I missed a lot of high end instances and raids because as soon as I hit 60, I went straight to outlands... where I managed to miss a lot of the instance content there until I hit level 70.

With the Thero's, I will be taking time out to level up and go through all the instances I can (powerwar bitches that I level too slowly for his liking, but this is my 1st boxing team and he is onto his third or 4th now).

ive done student amount of team boosting and leveling since classic and how i bare with it is, 1. good food, 2. a good collection of music 3. lots of coke cola

i can boost chars without raf to 60 in 6 days, with raf <20 hours

sure it SUCKS, i just made 4x 50 paladins on non raf and made another team to 60 straight after...because i changed my mind..try that for sick grinds. i was sick of it but i could'nt of made it if i had none of the 3 above.

i just focus on listening and eating :P

I'll say this, there is one nice thing about boosting that came out of Wrath. Argent Dawn rep is now useful for an achievement and title. I spend a good deal of boosting in Strat since I avoid BC unless I plan on keeping the account. With the $5 black Friday accounts, I don't plan on upgrading so it looks like I'll have more level 60 exalted with AD again.

The big problem I'm having is deciding on a server to start this new plague of alts on. Anyone reccomend some good servers in the Dallas (http://www.wowwiki.com/US_realm_list_by_datacenter)datacenter? I get the best pings from there now that I'm in Florida and far from every decent server I've been on. A sick part of me is considering Cho'gall, but not sure if I really want to be alliance with that much imbalance.

Hi souca; maybe ping times aren't that bad and you can join Kil'Jaden ?

Hi souca; maybe ping times aren't that bad and you can join Kil'Jaden ?

Well, I want to join Kil'Jaden, but the pings there are around 250-320ms. I know it's not horrible as what some people deal with, but having just been in Orange County where I got pings of 17ms on those servers, it's forcing a change in my playstyle even with solo characters. Dallas is only marginally better at 120ms or so. My current internet is FIOS, and while it has good bandwidth, the latency is all over the place. Quartz has been telling me I range from 240ms to 1200ms within a one minute span on Scarlet Crusade. Considering I'm not downloading anything I'm guessing it's dependent on how much porn my neighbors are streaming. ;(

Chances are I'll just accept it and head to Kil'Jaden. All I need to do is figure out which boosting 80 to transfer over and how to pay for it. I have an 80 DK and a druid I could use, or a 74 pally I've been meaning to level as well. Aside from seeing some ICC raids, I really want to work on farming level 60 and 70 raids, esp now that I've heard BT has been 5 manned, although it wasn't boxed. I could always bring a 6th character to make it even easier ;) I need glaives and thunderfury for all that can weild them ;)

I need to update that really because I dropped one of the locks and introduced a priest healer with the priest joining in on the dps when he isnt healing... but I think that as the dungeons start getting higher, I will re-organise my macro's so that he does nothing while the tank and dps are working with another button that starts him off healing :D

But at the moment, they are doing great... cleared Ulda the other night and I am current working towards 45 and pushing them to get ready for ZF. I might be going slowly, but I am enjoying it a lot really.

PS: I am about to re-organise my accounts so that all my current high level toons are spread out across my 5 accounts so that I can sort them out into a team for doing dailys and stuff like that. Just need to finish levelling up my rogue and warrior for that one :D
