ok, so I want my mouse wheel to pass keyctrokes in WoW, and I have tried several things to no avail.

I have a Logitech MX400 laser mouse, and I have downloaded the latest SetPoint software to try, and then a hack that Fursphere recommended to try, and it gives me more bind options, but not for the actual wheel part, only the middle mouse button.

I have seen several programs online which seem to say they do this, but they all come from very sketchy sites I tend to avoid, lots of popups, links to "how to hack the planet" and BS< which are obviously not safe.

So, if any of the tech geeks out there have a good idea, or some experience with this kind of stuff, I would appreciate it.

All i want, is for the WheelUp and WheelDown commands to send a keystroke instead, so my Keyclone picks it up.

Have you tried the mouse on a second PC?

I am not sure what software was recommended but from personal experience Setpoint and UberOptions are the only way to go with logitech.

One thing you have to be wary of is they both are profile dependent. If have WoW on one computer and a browser on the second as I have done if my Mouse is physically connected to the PC that has the browser that is the profile it will use and the keys it will pass to the second computer.

OK so.. I figured it out, and I feel a bit of a retard since Keyclone made it so easy.

I didn't think that the mouse keybinds would replicate to other machines and other client windows other than active, and I have never used mouse keybinds, so I dismissed them altogether.. Without really understanding what they were.

While I was fiddling with Keyclone trying to fix another problem (that I caused, of course) I decided ti fiddle with the Keybinds a bit JUST before I headed off to work, and found that they worked fine.

I have my IWT button set to F1 for completing quests and such, talking to various NPCs, repairing, etc etc and I want to start using it on my Paladins soon, so I have been working on a way to do this.

I went to Keyclone Mouse Binds, and found that by simply binding MouseUp and MouseDown to F1, my toons in the game all ran around parkouring (thanks to whoever coined that term) over everything I pointed at.

good times, thanks to Rob again for making something really easy, need to get the word out there to people, YOU ROCK =)
