There are a number of players with almost just as many achievements as this guy. Take a look at the overall leaderboard on this site: http://www.wow-achievements.com/

The majority of those could have been completed before the Achievement system even went live. You'll note that there is no separate achievement for each rank in the old BGs. Just one achievement for any rank. 100k PVP kills is a lot but you could easily have gotten that trying for grand warlord.

Sad thing is, most people who played wow since release would have had that...it's just that most poeple actually switches mains,.

For the old rank PVP 14 you could have done 69k-100k of kills getting rank 14 Alliance GM Horde HWL. took me 69k of kills for GM and close to 89k of kills for HWL. Too bad they do not give you any points for this rank :)
