I love the standard trinket, FS+EM+LB+CL. <- I have never had anyone survive this opener. There are other ways of producing more damage but in the Stunned, Feared state I continuously find myself in, this is working great.

But a problem i have is people escaping with 2-4k without me getting the CL off.

My solution:

My fourth shammy Frost Shocks+EM+LB+CL.

Its win. i have 3100 +dmg and I am destroying 31k targets no problem. I look at it like Im trading the one guys garaunteed crit for a garuanteed kill and its working GREAT!

Another playstyle issue i have suffered from is lack of Frost Shock. its win and brings back the opportunity for LB+CL kills.

What you think?

Why lightning bolt and not Lava Burst? Or do you mean Lava Burst when you write LB? If so then this is pretty much exactly what I do now, except I also have /cast [target=arena1-4] Wind Shear at the beginning since the silence lasts long enough to get the CL off, and it's off the global so it helps to put them behind about a global on heals should 1 guy make it with a little hp left.

Is there a reason for the not going EM+FS+LvB+CL versus FS+EM+LvB+CL? Extending the EM for another GCD?

Elemental Mastery is off of the GCD.
So if this is a castsequence which is spammed, EM-FS or FS-EM doesn't make much difference.

It will not be consumed until it encounters a spell with a cast time.
I suppose casting it first gets the bonus (crit, which is becoming haste) applying to an extra spell.
But leaves it open for spell steal or purge.

Doesn't Frost Shock have lower range? If you dont have the improved frost talent? Since i dont have.

I usually go for:
Flame Shock, Lava Burst, Chain Lightning, Flame Shock/Frost Shock depends on the range.

Kind regards,

yeah Im using Lava Burst not LB.

Does Frost Shock have a shorter range than Flame Shock? This question requires a little more response on why I am using Frost shock on one toon.

Flame Shock has a 45 yd range.

Frost Shock has a 30 yd range.

But most importantly remember Lava Burst with talents has 36 yard range.

So if you hit someone with flame shock x 4 they might be out of range for Lava Burst.

If you open your nuke with Frost Shock you know they are within in range not only for the Lava Burst, but also they wont be able to escape into +1,000,000 resilience LoS. Mind you I am only doing this x1. The other x3 are doing the normal nuke. I should also point out that my one of my slaves is doing this to ensure i have the most time to get off the x4 CL after the nuke.

Does it make my nuke hit harder? No.

Does it make it a garuanteed kill? No.

Does it make me feel better when a toon takes 3x FS+Lava Burst + 1x Frost Shock + Lava Burst + 4x CL and they still live? I dont know because nobody has survived it yet. :P

I plan on adding rockets to the mix to ensure I can kill anything regardless.

EM plus trinket light you up like a Christmas tree and let the world know the nuke is coming. The more time you announce the nuke and give them time to purge or dispell or "out" (ie. bubble, ice block, Cos, etc...) is game breaking. Its probably preference, but when I lay the nuke down I want to give as little amount of time for them to counter as possible.

how much unbuffed spell damage do your guys have? (without totem or weapon buff)

I'd actually be tempted to put the windshock in between lvb and CL if i could figure out how to make it work and not hang if windshock is on cooldown. Course putting it at the beggining also would save you from any cc that's being cast that might mess up your bomb. damned if you do, damned if you don't i guess lol.

Also, everyone seems to have glyph of shocking for that extra .5 second off the sock global. I chose the stoneclaw totem shield (4k shield on each guy) one instead but i'm not sure it's helping me that much.
do you find that .5 seconds to make a difference? I assume it's really only useful for that one focus blast. since everything else has a cast time following the shock.

You ask how much unbuffed spell damage we have without totems and weapon Buff. the answer: 2536.

I have 2894 with weapon buff and glyph. With totem Im at 3174.

Im running the following glyphs: Glyph of Totem of Wrath, Glyph of Lava, and Glyph of Stone Claw Totem.

I was hesitant to drop the .5 shock GCD but most of the time I Blow my nuke Im under BL. GCD is capped at 1s. Meaning you cant make it go lower. I think this glyph has a lower value then people make it out to be. And as much as playing one character is different from Quadboxing I use arena junkies top players and copy what the pros are doing. Its working out great so far.

Cheers!

do what makes you happy. Will it make a difference at high ratings? no. I'm over shamans. Weak ass class.

lol, i'm not going for high ratings, i'm just trying hard to get over 1800. I'm about 1550 rated now and I find that if i play anytime other than monday night, i play mostly 1800+ teams which destroy me. i'm sitting at about 2200 spell damage unbuffed and there's not much i can do to get any better gear at this point. I"m kinda stuck with lvl200 pve dagger/shield until next patch. Atleast then i can get a 232 weap and 219 shield in 5 mans (i don't raid), but their still not "pvp" focused.
I guess i'm hoping that i'll be able to get to 1800 next season.

i usually just stand in the open and wait for them to charge me in arena's. Is that what you guys usually do? Do you use your spread macro before fighting starts to avoid the warrior whirlwind/aoe? I also have bloodlust in my bomb, is that what you guys do, do you blow bludlust early, late, or during bomb?
