Trying to set up something fairly simple - I created a new group that includes my 4x ele shaman as DPS and a priest for healing.

I have the default FTL DPS keymap used for the shaman. The idea is to have a different keymap for the priest - exact same keys but runs some healing/cast sequence type things while the shaman dps.

Couple questions:

- On the healer, how do I target the leader?
- How do I organize the keymaps in such a way that the shaman get the FTL DPS key map and the priest gets a healing keymap with the same keys? I would assign the keymaps directly to the shaman chars instead of the group (and same for the priest), but then that would affect other groups where the context may be different (priest won't always have that keymap, same for shaman).

Thanks

I'm assuming you will want the priest to heal sometimes and DPS sometimes.
In which case, you need to control which keymaps the priest will use and when.

You will want to take the existing keymap for FTL DPS keys.
And copy them to make a second version.

The second version will have the same hotkey to activate, but a different output key.
And the target will be the priest only.

You'll need a 3rd keymap, which will be two steps.

On step 1, it will disable either group (priest specific Keymaps) or FTL DPS Keymaps, for the priest only.
It will similarly enable the other set of keymaps for the priest only.

On step 2, it will do the reverse. So enable one set and disable the other set, again for the priest only.

I believe the method is: Actions >> Key Map Actions >> New Mapped Key State Action.
Pick the priest as the target.
Pick the Keymaps you want to disable, one action for each keymap.
Pick the Keymaps you want to enable, one action for each keymap.

So, assuming your shaman and priest DPS with keys 1, 2, 3, and 4.
You will want to disable the normal actions of 1, 2, 3 and 4 for the priest only.
And enable your alternate keymaps for the priest only.
Each will have the input (hotkey) of 1, 2, 3 or 4.
But will output a different keybind to the priest; the keybind will be wherever you stuck your priest specific macro in warcraft.

The priest specific keymaps might run the Keymap: FTL Assist Me, just like the normal FTL DPS Keys do.
That will have the priest targeting whatever your master toon is targeting.

You then have the warcraft macro read: /cast [target=targettarget].
This has the priest healing whoever the target of the active toons target, which theoretically is the person who needs healing.

In the event that you'd like the priest to always heal and to never DPS.
It is much easier.

Just put heal based macros on every FTL key, just as you'd put DPS type spells there.

So in the place of Smite/Holy Fire/Shadow Word: Pain etc.
Put a macro which heals if friendly, or skips to the target's target if hostile.
