Hey you all! I've been out of the loop for quite some time, I own several business's and I've had a busy year with them, so I had quit WoW and multiboxing quite some time ago.
But now that things are going more smoothly again I am looking to start off gaming a bit again, albeit casually and not nearly as hardcore as I used too. But my WoW addiction is now gone, and quite frankly, I just don't feel like playing that game anymore. So I wondered if there are any new games on the market with multibox capabilities out that that offer a challenging, but not overly annoying, playstyle.
Did anyone miss me? :p

Hey buddy! Welcome back! :)
Well new things are, on the EU side we have made a horde guild named <Gimp>. We have around 10 active multiboxers in our guild (Grim'Batol EU). So first of all you're welcome to roll toons on our server/migrate your old ones and we will help you ingame :)
Second of all, WotLK sucks. Its not as fun as TBC and Vanilla was. But soon there will come a new expensionpack named Cataclysm, and the whole old Azeroth will be changed and redesigned. You can even fly in Azeroth! More information on the expension pack here: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/cataclysm/?rhtml=y
Shamans can drop all their totems with one button, instead of 4! (Doesn't make your cleansing totem and tremor totem goes staggered tho). There are a lot of new heroics and raids. And in heroics also raid emblems of conquest are dropped, where you can buy gear with.
We are currently in the ?7th? season of arena and there are quite a few multiboxers that have reached to the top.
You can have a normal mount on level 20, a epic mount on level 40, and a flying mount on level 60 (wich goes 150% speed instead of 60%) and you can buy a book to fly in WotLK for 1k gold if you have a level 80 main, or if your level 77.
There are new items named heirlooms. They are bound to account and you can send it with the mail to your alts. These items give extra experience when you kill a mob or complete a quest. You can buy these with items you can gain with your main.
I can give you more information but its kinda shaman-based. So thats not helpful if you're playing a different class :P
Kind regards,
Team Overdose

I've played the first four months or so of WotLK. But got bored. I heard about Cataclysm, still haven't checked it out properly. I'll dig into that in a bit. See if I can wet my appetite for WoW again.
There really isn't any other game that's fun to multibox, is there? :(

Welcome back!
The only two games I really see people multiboxing are Everquest II and Aion (though, most of the later seem to be returning to WoW). I played EQII at release for a year, and it was fun, but can't ever see myself returning. I rolled a new team in WoW and have had a blast, so it's keeping my interest - especially with 3.3 on the horizon (next week, so the rumor mill says).
Hopefully, you'll find something that grabs your attention.
OH! And when I took a break in June and came back, I scroll of ressurected myself and got 4 free months on my main and 2 weeks free on my alts, so if you do return, make sure you use that option :)

Not sure on a non-WoW option for multiboxing.
I see threads for EQ2 and LotRO now and then.
A fair bit have tried Aion, but lately they seem to be viewing boxing as botting.
At least according to a couple of threads.
Warcraft is by far the most boxing friendly environment.
With the "Click to Move" and "Interact With Target", melee boxing is very doable.
And that is quite different, if you want to try something different.

I'll second that. LOTRO is very fun and you can multibox the hell out of it too. Very underrated game that doesn't get the publicity it deserves,
On that note - I myself am back playing WOW o_O With the new badge gear triumph/frost made things fun again 'for a while'. Now that I have full triumph gear and 3+frost pieces I'm hitting that wall we all eventually hit. The you must raid to proceed any further wall... So I find myself farming gold and crazy achievements such as the insane title.
