Many may of seen this but I just wanted to give props to Lax for how fluid this is. In literally less than a minute you can be up and running as a multiboxer without even knowing how anything works. This will assist you in leveling in the beginning and through time you'll master the in's and out's but multiboxing software has come a long way and this is truly the direction for getting any "newbie" into the mix. Thanks Lax! :)

IS Boxer is easy to set up quickly.
There are quite a few resources out there as well.
Several videos, Zanthor wrote a guide, I wrote a guide, there is a wiki, and IRC support at: http://www.lavishsoft.com/chat/isboxer.php

It is very customizable and powerful.
If you want to do it in warcraft (or whatever game you play), IS Boxer can probably do it.
I've not seen anything as flexible.

IS Boxer does offer a 7 day free trial.
There is also a 2 week (I believe) money back guarantee.

It is a quality product, which Lax stands behind.

It would be worthwhile to keep an updated list of what games IS and ISBoxer work with. I'll add on to the list in the subject line with a couple more:

Age of Conan
Warhammer: Age of Reckoning
Aion

Veryfied by myself.

I'd also like to add my thanks to Lax and his extremely innovative platform.

I see the huge potential for IS, but I have still not moved from Keyclone. I have been boxing with KC for so long and it works perfectly with my macros and G15 keybinds. No editing required. I keep dabbling with ISboxer and keep coming back to KC. AND if Keyclone ever adds true mouse broadcasting, he'll have me for life, I still find KC way more user friendly.

But I can see ISboxer is constantly updating and making it more user friendly for dummies like me. So Props to Lax for that!

I still use IS for EQ2 8)

From browsing the forums, on the Lavishsoft site, various people had posted issues with assorted games, and several others posted solutions for IS Boxer to run these games:

Age of Conan
Aion
Dark Ages of Camelot
Darkfall
Everquest
Everquest II
Eve Online
Lord of the Rings Online
Runes of Magic
Star Wars Galaxies
Vanguard: Saga of Heroes
Warhammer Online
World of Warcraft

This is a very nice program I got it and after a few ~Doh~ moments had it up and running...only thing it uses this Inner Space..I worried that this may be looked at as a third party program..being as you can pop up a Dos type window in game...I'm still reading but just had the concern

Inner Space is just the platform on which IS Boxer runs.
It all depends on what you do with the platform.

IS Boxer is safe to use within games, if the game allows boxing.
It doesn't allow a user to input more then one action per keystroke.
And has no delays or timers for automatic actions while you are absent.
Numerous (not sure the user base) people have been using it for over a year, without any bans from its use.

Thanks for the response Ualaa . I've been dabbling with it..took a minute to figure out how to get it working running off a second hard drive (Did not see a guide with it in)....I may try KC it seems a lil simpler to use..

If you already have IS Boxer, I'd stick with it.

Keyclone is a decent option, for sure.
It broadcasts everything, to all clients.
But you can blacklist certain keys to not be broadcast to any client.
Or toggle broadcasting off entirely.

IS Boxer has a repeater mode, which has it function just like Keyclone in this regard.
It also has blacklist/whitelist options, should you wish to leave repeater on always.
But turning repeater off, and using keymaps is a lot more powerful.
Keymaps are hotkeys, which do specific actions on the windows you choose.
So you can have movement keys for only the slaves (and switch to any main, affecting the -new- other toons).
In addition to Keymaps, you have instant PiP swaps, an automatic FTL, virtualized config files and fast/accurate mouse broadcasting.
A lot of very nice features.

Holy crap!!!! I tried this software a while back and almost committed suicide from the complexity. Now with this easy setup and not having to setup FTL macros!!?? Seems like I could easily drop toons into groups with this. I may have to check this out again. Maybe this weekend.

During character set creation (where you pick which toons will be part of a set/team), assign a unique FTL modifier to each slot.

That's it, as far as FTL configuration goes.
Check a few boxes for each slot, which are unique from each other.
The wizard has its own selections.
Honestly, it doesn't matter which are checked, as these modifiers are only used for three Keymaps; as in, you can use every modifier you want to, in other keymaps without messing with the FTL.

The wizard creates three Keymaps which use FTL.
FTL Target Me, FTL Assist Me and FTL Follow Me.
All of the other macro's, like the automatic FTL DPS keys, basically call one of these.

When you press 1, it runs FTL Assist Me in the current window.
Then sends 1, to every client.

The only other thing to mess this up, is changing the "use FTL Keys" defaults.
The above three keymaps should "use FTL Modifiers".
Everything else should be on "default".
