Alright,
So I have a USB XKeys and I want it to send special non-english characters to WoW. (I asked this question before I quit WoW last time and never got an answer) The issue is, while this works for the runline and chat window ... there does not seem to be a way to bind these keys.

Here's my question... If I bought a PS/2 Russian keyboard (or some other keyboard with lots of special keys) could I use that to make bindings in WoW?

Because if I could get µ, ó etc bound in wow that would free up all my regular keys and allow for modifiers again.

This a very interesting idea. Did you find the answer?

I just entered a Norwegian character on U.S. WoW's keybind screen by selecting Norwegian as the Windows language setting. Then I set Windows back to English and entered the same key (same piece of plastic) again for a different binding, and both the Norwegian and English characters remained on the binding screen even when I exited WoW and restarted. I didn't experiment any further.

Step 1: type out all special characters in notepad
Step 2: Convert to barcode font
Step 3: Print out barcode font sheet
Step 4: Acquire PS/2 based barcode scanner (this is the hard part)
Step 5: Plug inline with xkeys
Step 6: Scan and program your x-keys

Credit goes to Xzin from way back in the day

You can bind keys from an ordinary keyboard. Why do you need a scanner?
