Wintergrasp Ganking - Quad Relentless Ele Shaman

I've wanted to make a Wintergrasp vid for awhile - but there was just nothing interesting about blowing up sieges/turrets (and lagging!) So we had another idea - ganking when we didn't control WG. Wanted to wait till we had enough gear as I figured it would be pretty tough.

We camped vault for about 2 hours over two sessions, and then started a Wintergrasp offense in the courtyard (with tenacity for about 30 sec).

Shaman are in almost full relentless (need a glove or pant on a shaman or two), priest is in full relentless down to the wand.

Not always - I do have a rotation I use in arenas and in some parts of this video. If I pop all 4 I'm going for a kill, or at least getting several people low enough that I have an edge. Against pve geared targets, or with tenacity, it's usually a kill (that's where all those bodies in the first scene came from, before I started recording).

Vary good vid, are you using the FTL (leaderless) setup, or you just have the slaves on assist of your main? Seasm like you slaves get kinda frozen once you main dies.

I think he just knows it's pretty much over at that point anyways and would rather wipe fast so he can get back sooner than trying to squeeze out some extra kills with the survivors.

But as far as arena would go, your point is very valid :)

It's FTL, with instant switching if I need it, but fraps can't tell when I switch characters so you just see the dead toon. But in the two scenes where I die, I just take the wipe because it's pretty much over

Well they're all pvp zones on a pvp server.. Ganking generally means killing people not directly in an pvp encounter like a BG or wintergrasp game... I'm killing people trying to do an instance, or trying to zone in, or just surprise attacking.

Think you get about 24 honor a kill if it's just 5 of you. Or something close.

He was using a macro that went something like:

I think it's /targetfriend

and alts had that command multiple times so they'd get a different target

it's random and can target pets and totems

Just an offtopic, i cant remember what macro i had for my main to heal in HCs. Im having my main as healer and my other 3 shamans as DPS. The macro i was using alowed me to heal my focus without changeing target from the boss for example. So all my alts could assist my main (healer).

Tryed with:
/cast Healing wave [Target=focus]

But didnt work.

Very nice! Every now and then i try to invade the Vault waiting area and laugh at people who actually keep running back up to me and take me on solo.
But man.....id give a ton of gold to roll with the gear you got. My good 'ol crafted mace is starting to show its age.

He has probably just limited the framerate/settings of his alts.
I'm pretty sure I would get higher framerates while 5-6 boxing myself if i'd just heighten the cap i've set on my maxfps :p
Main difference would prolly be recording at a higher fps, since most people (at least me) usually limit recording fps to 30.
But I can't see how much fps he's getting in the video, so I don't know for sure.

Any decent pc could prolly pull it off running only 4 clients from what i can see in the video, so you are probably comparing it to a rather lesser system.

Yup, my PC holds my main at 40-60 best graphic and my 3 slaves runs at lowest graphic with max 15 fps.

2,4 ghz quad
4 gb RAM
Radeon 5850 1gb Graphic card (like 125 euros)

It most certainly can. Click on the SLOT field when you have the Character Set selected. It is near the bottom of the window.
