Hey everybody! So after a nice long break from wow (6 Months) Im thinking about coming back into the madness. My question is what is there for us boxers to still do? ( Ive done most of the 5 mans and had a few of them on farm) I have decent gear a bit of Nax stuff on all of my guys. The reason why I quit a while back is because I was running out of stuff to do and it was driving me insane. I farmed the dailies until I was blue in the face and Av was becoming really lame because I wasnt ever the leader which made looking after my group a total nightmare...

If I could get an idea of what some of you do I may venture back into the game... Otherwise I might just wait until Cat.

Thanks inadvance!

Well, there is quite a bit of nice changes made since you last played. Heroic bosses now drop the 2nd highest emblems (conquest for now, triumph after 3.3 patch goes live). Tons of raid quality epics you can now get for your team. 3 new 5 man instances will be added in the 3.3 patch with bosses that drop all epics in normal and heroic difficulty.

For leveling alts, riding skill req. levels and riding training costs have been reduced dramatically.
Level 20 - normal land mount and training for 5g.
Level 40 - epic land mount and training for 50g
Level 58 - normal flying skill and mount for 500g
Level 68 - cold weather flying (BoA cold weather flying book purchasable by level 80 alts that you can send to lower alts)

So there is a ton of gear to get at 80 now without raiding, and you can fly while leveling lower alts through outlands and northrend. :) Definately has the most content and gear choices for non-raiders ever with more on the way in the 3.3 patch next month.

Oh wow lol thats really making me want to play. Is it still a huge time sink or has that been trimmed up some as well. Raids lasting hours. Hours of grinding to get cash ect? Dont get me wrong I dont mind the work... I just dont want this to turn into a second job again... lol

It doesn't take long to get your guys in epics since there is a lot to buy from the auction or buy with the emblems you get from heroic bosses. I switched tanks to my prot paladin and was able to get most of his gear within a week or two running heroics after 3.2 came out. http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Hyjal&n=Alagos I haven't done any raiding with him, just heroics.

Depending on the gold you have from all of the dailies, there are a lot of BoE's from Naxx 25, Ulduar 10, Ulduar 25, ToC 10 and ToC 25 which can be huge upgrades.

Gearing the tank toon seems to be the most cost effective.

You can currently get Conquest badges (Ulduar 25 level loot) from just about every instance. In the next content patch (which is on PTR currently), we get Triumph (I think) badges. Well the new badges will be ToC 25 level loot. There is a thread, detailing how it will be 12 days of the easy heroics, to get the 210 badges for the 5 piece of Tier 9 gear or the PvP equivalent; chances are it will be over 2 weeks for most of us, unless we are already running heroics and are somewhat geared.

Raids take the same time basically. The current tough stuff takes a while, but the older stuff is easily farmed via pugs. They have put achievements in, which while they get you not much, do show what you have done. Some achievements get you rare mounts and others give you a title.

1-70 takes 30% less experience then it did when that was current content. You can RAF (or not) 1-60 in very little time. 60-70 is a lot faster then it was. With the "Interact With Target" keybind, melee teams are very viable options, and they play a lot different from caster teams -- a nice change of pace.
