Hey guys,
Well, xmas is coming and it's time to make my wish list :p
But i'm having a hard time deciding what's actually the best option...
As the topic states, should i go for the G19, G13 or the N52 Te?
The G13 and N52 Te aren't full keyboards, which I've never played with.. but I think this could benefit me A LOT because of the extra keys that i'll be able to use (think about the direction pad that you can bind as well)
But I'm not sure if you can bind one of those buttons to your left shift button? Because it would give you a lot of extra options if it does. Another pro about one of these is that they are relatively cheap compared to the G19..
Well the pro's about the G19:
It also has more programable buttons.. But they aren't in range of your hand position, which isn't that easy to use i think, i'll probly bind those keys to stuff like buffs and shit, because you're probly not gonna use those in mid combat..
The LCD also looks nice, but not sure if it's that usefull, any current users can give their opinions? :p
A con is the serious price.. The chance i'll get this for xmas will be pritty slim i think ^^ (they'll probly tell me to go buy it myself :p)
Well if any users could help me a bit with this decision, would be nice!
Thx in advance guys!

I voted for the G13.
I was a die hard N52 user for a good couple of years but recently bought the G13.
I struggled to use it at first - I found the thumb joystick awkward after the N52's D-Pad.
However I've been using it for solo play for a little while now - and I love it.
More than enough keys. It's comfortable, I've grown used to the thumb joystick too.
I did have issues with the binding software. Seemed a bit temperamental on whether it loaded or not or saved changes. In the end made use of the export facility whenever i changed it and not had a problem since.
I'm not using all of the keys - don't hold my hand on it's home keys, but absolutely love it.
I should say I also have a g19 keyboard on my machine upstairs - and don't bother with it.
The G13 is more natural, and allows me to swap over from mouse movement to joystick movement instantly (for example when I want to position a shadowfury).
BIg thumbs up from me - and apologies for the huge wall of text.

saitek cyborg/pro-gamer command unit.
Same as Shaeman : Die hard N52 (original) user, bought a G13 as soon as it was released, and never looked back.
Very hard to find anything bad to say about it. The only thing is that the screen is useless to me, more of a personal thing than a drawback.

I sure would like to see a photo of the N52 sitting next to the G13. I'm also a long time N52 user and find the G13 appealing but I would have no use at all for the screen. If one of you who still owns both would take a couple of photos of the two side by side and perhaps, even one of the N52 sitting on top of the G13, it would be greatly appreciated and might even help the OP with his decision (he added, keeping the thread on track).

Standard PS/2 keyboard. :)
Personally I would recommend the Logitech G11 over all of the above. The keys are right next to where your left hand would normally be, and it doesn't have a useless LCD that doubles the price. (I have an original G15, v1 myself -- I never use the LCD) ... granted, there are probably decent uses for the LCD, but I'm a touch typist and I don't make a habit out of staring at the keyboard.
I find keys being where they are rather convenient, and when I'm multiboxing I generally use them for combat instead of making hotkeys on the main area of the keyboard. Then non-combat stuff I use stuff like ctrl+alt+M to make everyone mount. I never have to "pause" anything to chat in the game ;)
Examples of how I use the G-keys: http://www.lavishsoft.com/wiki/index.php/ISBoxer:Lax#Logitech_G15_Keyboard

The screen on the g13 is pretty useless. The whole point of the g13 for me is to be able to quickly activate any talents i want without looking away from the computer screen.

I have a G11 also and love it, but I am not taking advantage of it fully (i.e. using all the G keys). I also have an N52 which I've only used a little. I spent probably 15 minutes at Best Buy looking at the N52 and G13. The G13 is pretty cool, but the buttons felt really large for my hand (I have an average size hand) where the N52 was a more comfortable fit. I probably don't need both the N52 and the G11. Oh, if you get the G11 get the one with 18 G keys. :)
Fur, lol at PS/2 keyboard, but hey what ever works for ya. What kind of mouse do you have (let me guess Mickey?)?
The main point of the G13 over G11/15 is the stick !
- You save at least 4 keys, since direction keys are not used anymore
- One finger (thumb) does all the steering, so 2 others become available for more pew-pew'ing
Steering with a cross-bar/stick is a little tricky, it is very hard to break the QZSD habit (yep, french keyboard ;) ). But really, once it's done, there's no turning back.

Standard PS/2 keyboard. :)
I second this. I can't really imagine needing more keys then what comes with a standard key board.

Its not about having more keys, its about accessability of the keys.

The lua programming of the g19 is amazing. its definately a different keyboard than just a keyboard with some extra programmable macro keys.

It is all about the accessibility to me as well. I like the way the G19 just fits my hand not to mention the thumbstick. Unless I am typing my hand stays on the G19 the whole time.

G13 = 22 keys + joystick
PS/2 keyboard, my left hand placed on the "home keys" / WASD position = 33+ keys + entire numberpad for right hand. My right hand constantly moves from mouse to numberpad as needed.
I love the concept of a "game pad", but honestly I've found a standard keyboard to be much more natural. I type something like 75+ words per minute, and i've been typing for 15+ years, so a keyboard is VERY natural for me.
If you want more "accessability" out of a keyboard, learn2type (the proper way)

I have both the N52 Te and the G13, have had the N52 the longest and it feels natural, the G13 feels to big for my hand and I can't get use to it, the extra keys on the G13 could come in handy if I could get use to it.

It has nothing to do with typing or number of keys for me. It has everything to do with comfort and preference. The way I sit at my desk my keyboard would have to be 2 feet long for it to sit where my hands are.

I felt the same way I never would have picked up the G13 if my N52 did not break. I did not like the feel of the TE so I took a leap and tried something different. It took me a little bit to get use to it I do miss the D-keys on the legacy N52 though.

I have over 20 years of being a touch typist and I couldn't get comfortable with a WASD setup.

G15 here but mine is not version 1. I would like to have one of those with the 18 keys. Mine is the one with just six G keys and the LCD. I used to use that screen, but not very much now since I box. If only they would make one with that many keys again :)

Holy crap, didn't think to get this much replies ^^
Thx everyone for helping me!
Not that you're all making it easy :p But it's very nice to have some insight on what you ppl like!
At the moment I'm still not sure on which one to choose..
The G19 or G15 v1 would be nice because of the M-buttons on the side, but I think I'm going to try one of the others just to try something different :p If it sux I'll probly change to the g19.
The think I'm worrying about is the size of the pads, I think I have normal sized hands :p But there isn't really a way for me to test it out.. there isn't really a store I can go to and test it out.. But I think I'll get use to either one..
And also, the screen on the G13, I couldn't care less if it's there or not :p So that's not gonna influence me to get it :p
Well guys, thx again and I'll keep you updated! :p
Ciao
i use G19 with 12function keys
+ Color of keys is nice with each function M1/2/3
- i never use the little color screen so expensive for nothing

I have an original G15, but have not opened the LCD display since returning home (took my computer with me), and that's been 2 months or so.
The G11 is a G15 (original style, with the 3 banks of 18 keys per bank), but without the LCD panel, which is pretty useless as far as warcraft goes.

I am using the g15 display for core temp info and using the G13 display for vent info. Its is really useful when there is a crap load of people on vent and some one logs on or off. You can look over at the display and it will hold the user name on the display for a few seconds.
