ok, i know most of it is simple click and set up but ive seen some vids of sweet layouts but can figure out how to get it to show up. The support for the mod is less then favorable to say the least. I posted a comment on the support site and it went 5 weeks before a reply and it was something like, "me having same prob. help plz" haha!
any one have any screen shots of theirs and willing to spend some time answering even the dumb questions? I have to say I think its what boxers need to see info at a glance. Just having the cast bars is worth it.

I guess you're talking about the party-frame itself - sadly I would have loved to use it, too - my main character is a paladin tank though and I simply need grid for that purpose. I need to see when a player has aggro from whatever source and pitbull doesn't display that very reliable. At least the previous versions didn't do it very good in my opinion.
That's why I use pitbull for everything except the raid/group frames.
If you still want to see a screenshot of a custom UI ... ;)

try using pitbull 4. alot easier to setup. not as infinitely customizable as 3 seems to be, but gets the main idea across.

ckknight is not going to be very helpful with basic stuff. Heck the guy is the author of Pitbull, Fubar, Parrot, Cartography, Cowtip, Chinchilla, much of the Ace Library. His work is/was amazing. I think he works for Curse now and spends a fair amount of time doing other things his projects do not move as fast as they use to and are not as refined.....
I use Pit4 it almost feels like a step back.....

I recently did two horde death knights, purely to have access to the neutral auction house.
For transfering gold from alliance side to horde side, for a new warlock team.
The Death Knight player frame (and party frame if the party member is a DK) is not visible.
Well it is a square of shaded text the right size, but there's nothing in the frame.
With a mixed party, everyone else shows up fine.
And you can click on the shaded frame, and the target frame goes shaded too.
I'm guessing it doesn't like having the runes attached to the frame or something.
But am not sure.
Not sure if my version of Pitbull is the newest, but DK's had been out for a long time when I downloaded it.
Anyone else have anything like this?

I agree, I tried pitbull 4 for a bit, it just seems more limiting.

it is, but helps bridge the gap from people that cant figure out how to use 3. with time, you can make the shift from 4 to 3 easier, instead of just jumping into it

I played with ver 3 and it was great. I got alot of settings to the "ok" point. but never could get the cast bars and targets target set right. bugged the hell outta me. so I tried 4, it is a step back....
maybe ill go back to 3 and see what i can do.

Heh. I am still using Discord Unit Frames. I can't stand anything else. It has been a challenge keeping it working, but it's fairly stable now.

That's basically mine. If you want to use it, you can grab my PitBull.lua from
http://www.filefront.com/user/Ughmahedhurtz
If i remember correctly (don't have it installed on my laptop at the moment) you can install PitBull, load the game once, verify PitBull is working, then exit out and drop the above LUA file on top of WoW\WTF\Account\<youraccount>\<server>\<charactername>\SavedVariables\PitBull.lua and it should overwrite your defaults. See if that works. If it doesn't, let me know and I'll find my previous post about migrating PitBull configs and help ya get it going.
Either way, GL getting it going! It isn't too hard, just gotta be patient. ;)
Cheers,

yup pitbull is very friendly when it comes to copying the WTF file. I set up my party frames this way makes lining them up for mouse broadcasting a breeze.

I have been following the development or lack thereof. It is amazing how long the community has kept it going.
